I'm downloading the demo now.. Just cause of all the great feedback I've heard from it. I'm always willing to give EA a chance to really make a game.

So we shall see.

Min Spec's;

OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista (32-bit; 64-bit versions of Vista are not supported)

CPU: 2.0GHz or high, or AMD equivalent

RAM: 512 MB or more

Disk Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive for retail SKUs, not required for digitally downloaded version

Hard Drive: 8.0 GB or more of free space

Video: GeForce4, ATI Radeon 8500 or greater (ATI Radeon 9200 and 9250 PCI, NVIDIA Geforce 4 MX cards not supported.)

Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Network, Internet Multiplayer: 2 players (no voice support) – 56 Kbps Internet connection; 2-8 players (with voice transmission) – Broadband-class connection

---
Blow's it don't support 64 bit. I'm having to download it on my old gaming rig. :(

The biggest issue I've seen about it, Is the fact of the zoom, Very small? People saying they feel as if they are in the dirt!

Yeah, It is... After what EA done to BF2, I deemed never to buy another EA game until they made a good one.
Tiberium Sun, I loved to death. I was a TRUE GDI Fan! I played that game non stop for year's, An then went on to Fire Storm.

After hearing all the changed, EA made to TW... I thought oh man! They bought out West Wood who MADE the CNC title, An made it what it was, An EA just took it over an ruined it in nothing flat.
I must say, They took something that Westwood made, An done the impossiable!
Really the BEST game as far a RTS goes for 2007 hand's down.. Supreme commander don't have **** on TW! I was just wowed at the game an that's just from this stupid little map they gave us. Mind you've I've played that stupid little made all day. Ha.
This will be a great game! I can't wait till it come's out next month.

I will GLADY give my 50$ to EA for this master piece.

Although through my gaming hour's, I've found many bug's and glitches in it. I do indeed hope they get it fixed before the release.

All in all, I give this a 9 out of 10! As I only gave Supreme Commander a 7 out of 10. Still a good game none the less.

Oh an, Remember how all these year's, GDI an even the USA side for Zero hour, Had that crappy Ion cannon... YEAH This baby has been over powered, An OWN'S as far a superweapon's go. However the time limit's have been put to 7 minute's on the count down's for it now.

hopefully this will be better then supreme comander i dotn really see all the hype about sc in my opinion it isnt that great and has no chance at being the next star craft

Posted by: augest

I agree. No TW is just like all the past RTS verison's of CNC we have came to love, Only with the new advancement's, Such as building cue's etc...

I love the idea of the 99 build cue. :)

Posted by: Beefcake

Game is awesome, better than the SC demo. At least this won't lag the **** out of my computer on high settings like SC!

Going to be getting this game soon if not sometime at or near launch.

Posted by: darkop16

I must admit the tutorial was actually better the the SC retail tutorial :p. I like the interface too. It seemed kinda easy to me though coming from SC. Yes it will prob have the best story hands down over SC, but i believe SC's beauty comes from the vastness of the battlefield. Controlling so many units at one time and some of the maps are just huge. So i say TW=story and SC=multiplayer. This is my opinion though. Some ppl will prob take this over SC in both departments, because they might have a better feel over the overall game play or something. Im just saying i thinkg SC is still a good game and ill have a lot of fun with it for a while.

Still, Ill definitely pick up a copy of TW too ;).

agreed starcraft was the ultimate, i still play that game today.

but to the topic, the cc3 demo is nothing short of awesome, i can't wait for the game to release. i haven't actually played SC yet, but i heard it was pretty good.

Just played C&C3. Runs pretty smooth on my computer! Athlon XP 1600+, 512MB, Ti4200 64MB.

This is a huge improvement to Generals. It really plays like a proper C&C game again. No silly "workers" required to construct a building.

I'm not saying that Generals was bad. It was awesome, but it had nothing to do with C&C, not even Red Alert. And I preffered the Tiberian series over the Red Alert series anyways, although Red Alert 1 was very, very good.

Posted by: baronvongogo

C&C 3 to me is a disappointment nothing new same old :(. Good graphics, faster gameplay, better UI but no outstanding new features. Compared to company of heroes its not as good and personally I love supreme commander the zoom is great. Not enough games zoom out enough for my liking, online play is also engrossing and lasts hours with teamwork and tactical play.

C&C 3 is decent but its also exactly as i expected it to be, no new surprises or new additions to game mechanics which is a shame. At least EA didn't balls it up though so that's something to be thankful for.

That's how C&C is supposed to be. I love it.

I was worried that EA would mess it up too. All WestWood's hard work to get the million's of people that CNC had... But I'm telling you what they changed alot in the game, But made it just outstanding! It really a great game.
They changed alot like I said, But kept alot of the old game play alive... I guess that's where your coming up with the same old stuff an not much new.
Wait for patches! EA know's how SP won over the heart's with that zoom. You'll be suprised.. CNC3 TW is going to make a ton of money so I know they are going to support it to the up most! They already have the first patch being made for it to come out when the game is release next month on the 28th.

800x600, texture max, everything else low, no AA. Runs pretty smooth.

Posted by: nosbusch2005

I just played the demo. In my opinion this was better than the Supreme Commander demo. I was planning on buying SC but now I think I will wait and buy CnC3. I still really want to play SC multiplayer though. Who am I kidding, I'm sure I'll end up buying both :)

Posted by: backup287

Pick up the First decade of C&C at ebgames for like 20 bucks u get red alert, red alert 2, renegade, tiberion sun, firestorm expansion, great games i especially loved red alert because of its no unit cap!there was no unit cap i could load as much infantry i wanted to on the screen it was so fun to play

I found a glitch that alows you to play as nod or the scrin in skirmish mode:

Open the skirmish menu:

open the sub menu where you choose your side:

quikly and repeatedly click N while holding your mouse over the nod option and repeatedly clicking.

May take a few tries, but it will work.

The same process works for scrin. Just click S instead of n while clicking scrin with the mouse.

Posted by: Beefcake

Game runs very well on my system surprisingly. I play it on 1280x1024, maxed everything with the exception of any AA. Runs great for such a good-looking game. SC demands a lot of a system and it doesn't even look that good. Not saying it has crappy graphics but I know graphics isn't the reason why it's so demanding, it's because of the scale, which is nice but sometimes I feel it's so big it takes away from the game. C&C puts you down on the field managing your units a lot more than SC does. Both games are good in the fact that population isn't really a problem unlike other games *cough*Warcraft*cough*.I hate that I have to turn shadows off in SC so my FPS doesn't drop below 20.

I'm buying this over SC hands down.

Thanks for the glitch info, I can play as NOD but whenever I try to play Scrin I don't start with a construction yard and I automatically lose. I get to see the UI of them though.

Posted by: ulater6000

Yeah, I found out the glitch doesnt work for scrin too. :(

I was looking forward to trying them out.

that glitch rules man nice find i can also set the computers personalities with it!

Tried the intro and hated it, units should not build instant, the multiplayer will turn out to be spawnfest on the opponent, no gameplay configuration in the options was bad for me, seeing as I hated the settings for the mouse, I'll try the demo again before I deleate it, but I doubt I could like an rts that has tier based units that build so fast that it turns the strategy into a zerg fest.

Posted by: Beefcake

Infantry in C&C always built fast, and I think vehicle production is speed up a little.

This game is too fast for you then.

Posted by: backup287

tanks arent that fast

Posted by: iamchel

seriously all c&c games have been really borring imo with the exception of Red Alert..Ill probably still check this one out though.

Posted by: backup287

ya red alert 2 was definately my favorite over tiberioun sun any day

Posted by: Prophaniti

game was pretty fun, seems to play faster now though

.. i wonder if the AI still cheats with its complete map

Posted by: OmegaWeapon

I wish I were at home downloading the demo. :( Oh well, when I get back I'll definitely check it out once I get back. Hopefully the game is good and along the classic great games from the entire C&C series.

My favorite had to have been Red Alert 2 because of the complex story and the intriguing scenario for everything. Hopefully this game is just as good or better.
