Anyways... This is the situation: I'll be using this case: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=010082&cid=CS.664 And two of these fans: http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=010026&cid=FN.505 Now, as I said, I've never done this before, but I'm hoping to get a nice airflow going through here, having one of the fans intake, and one of them exhaust. So, if anyone has a guide or tips and pointers on how I should do this, then that would be nice :). Thanks! Posted by: CrazeD Are you planning on modding the case, or just adding fans to existing holes? If you are going to mod it, you're going to need either a Dremel or a hole saw. If you're adding to existing holes, all you have to do is stick it there, screw it in, and plug it in. Posted by: blackhawk13 Likely modding the case. I'm not sure it has any holes already in it for me to place the fans. I've never heard of a Dremel though :S. Hole saw is pretty self-explanatory hehe. Posted by: CrazeD Dremel ^^^ Posted by: blackhawk13 Ahhhh, I could get one of those. My dad probably has one handy somewhere. And now for the execution of the plan... Does anyone know how to connect the wires to actually make it work? Thanks! Posted by: CrazeD You'll either have a 4 pin molex: pic Or a 3 pin fan connector: pic For the 4 pin molex, just find an empty one dangling somewhere from your powersupply and plug it in. For the 3 pin fan connector, you'll need to find an empty spot on your motherboard Posted by: blackhawk13 Thanks! Shouldn't be too hard to work out then. Posted by: t3ch_threads What ever you do you want to make sure the pressure inside the case is more than the pressure outside the case. Posted by: blackhawk13 Errr. So should I have both fans blowing in? Or would that limit the airflow? Posted by: blackhawk13 Bump. Also, does anyone have a guide on how I should install this fan onto the side of the case? I'm switching the case to this... case - http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=009735&cid=CS.664 fan - http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=008681&cid=FN.505 And only adding one fan to the side of the case. Any help is appreciated :). Thanks so far everyone! vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
