well i have got a tough one, i have a project to make a jacket that will send persons heart rate, temperature and other various things to a location of my choice.

Hence, i plan on using mobile technology because its much cheaper to afford. I plan to form a system, that a cell phone is inserted in the jacket all the time, and if something goes wrong, e.g. person has an heart attack or high temperature, it dials a number and send numbers that are assigned e.g. i say if it send 12 it means he has low b.p. and temp. There are various from 1 to 1 million choices.

Please help me how to form a link using VB. Oopps its the biggest question there can be. lol. Just plzzz giv me a bit of idea how can use a laptop to link up with a mobile, to understand the tone of number the mobile in the jacket sends?

Is this a school project? A company called VivoMetrics makes a product called the Lifeshirt that does this kind of thing.

btw if any one also tell me abt a device or software that will understand the tone the other phone send. e.g. if i am calling u on ur phone and i press 1 or 2 digit it gives a beep. I heard there r devices that can sense them... can u tell me the name too

Here's some info on it and if your interested I am sure a search via google for wap tutorials will help you.
