Something like sid meiers pirates or the sims 2, were its fun to play, and not based on skill level. I like these kinds of games and im looking for some other ones to start playing. Posted by: Amd gt player try the ship u get it of steam for 15 bucks its like sims but ur being hunted by some one else who is playing and ur hunting soem one at teh same time its hard but fun and u have to be carefull where u pull out wepons as u can be arested and put in jail Posted by: spikoman69 ill look into that, how about the movies? is that any good? is there any story to it or do you just make movies? Posted by: Chase The Movies is a fun game if you're into micro managing and such but not if you actually look to make a nice movie, as the animation options are VERY limited. I hate to say it but WoW and Guild Wars are also great casual gamer options that don't require you to do specific things all the time, as it gives you more choice and acts very dynamic. Another game I could suggest is a download game known as Zuma (if you're into casual gamer's games this one can be quite addictive), or possibly the GTA series (if you're a more mature gamer). This may be all my personal opinion, so gather some others before you go out and buy a new game or something like that. Also, I can vouch for The Ship as well, as it is incredibly fun, but has a decent difficulty. Hope that helps, ::-Chase-:: Posted by: spikoman69 i play guild wars, its fun and all, but very limiting for me as i can only get dial up where i live. I have all the GTAs for PS2 and i do agree they are very great games. Im looking for a fun game that wont be over in 10 hours (Like sid meiers pirates, wouldnt let me return to sea after dividing plunder because i got to old). How long does The Movies single player last? and does the expansion add any more single player? or just add effects you can use in the free mode? Posted by: Dexaroni The Ship sucks. I suggest you get Fable. Its long, fun, and just challenging enough that it is not boring. Posted by: nosbusch2005 As far as casual games go I enjoy Sid Meiers Railroads, any of the Sim games like Sim City, Sim Tower, Sim Farm, and the Tycoon games, Rollercoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon are the ones I've played. There real easy to just sit down and play for a little while and leave or play for hours at a time :) I have played the Movies but didn't really enjoy it. However my girlfriend loves it so its just a matter of taste. Posted by: Chase The Movies single player lasts basically as long as you want it to, as you can continually expound upon your recent establishments and landmarks in filming history. For the price, The Movies is an excellent game in my opinion as, like you said, it will not be simply over in 10 hours and has a lot of replay value in it. The expansion also throws on a nice new shiny coat of paint to the game, adding a much more dynamic and versatile movie making scheme, with lots of new effects to have fun with. Dexaroni (above) recommended Fable as well and I will agree on that end that it is a very nice relaxation game, but it's not very deep and misses a lot of critical points it should have nailed to deliver an even better gaming experience than other single player RPGs. Ultimately, you seem to be looking toward The Movies, and if that is an original interest of yours then I suggest you pick it up as well as the expansion (as it adds a ton to the game), because for the low price you pay for it now (compared to its launch price), it s a great title to own. Hope that helps, ::-Chase-:: Posted by: spikoman69 ok, i think ill pick up the movies Posted by: Dexaroni Im selling two games that I think are very slow paced here. http://tech-forums.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=142919 If you are interested, Fable and Morrowind are both very good games, and are very easy going, mellow games, unless you want to fight, at which point they can become challenging. Leisure Suit Larry is also pretty laid back, but it sorta sucks, so I won't recommend that to you. Hope I was able to help, Dex Posted by: spikoman69 i have morrowind also, i find it very fun, but it does get boring from repetitiveness. Posted by: korky122 pick up flight sim x and a joystick. sit back and cruise around. Posted by: Disillusion EVE Online is a pretty slow paced game, it's very laid back, unless you're into PvPs or something.
You stole the words right out of my mouth! If you do get SC4 be sure to get the Network Add On Mod (NAM) and also the roadtop mass transit mod is good. These are found at simtropolis. Posted by: robertgp26 I agree. Actually, I think that any of the Sims games would work here. It is a simple concept, and it is so much fun! Posted by: AND_YOU_ARE I prefer the sim city series over the rest of the sim games. In SC4, there are 'U-Drive It' missions, where you drive, or fly around your city you built. Posted by: KCRMYZ There isnt really a game that you just sit back and play you actually have to do something. World of warcraft is the way to go. It\'s probably the best bang for the buck I like it, maybe you should give it a try. All the other games on this list are a one time price. vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
