New Phone Advice

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new phone.

I'm not looking for any PDA's or anything like that. I'm not that famous.

But something to make good calls, good camera, good organisers, good music, etc.

An all-rounder phone.

No Razr or Krazr anything like that... but a phone that is good looking and had good functionality.

I was looking at Motorolla i880?

and is it true that Cingular has this thing that if you subsrcribe from them you have the option to choose any phone you want?

i will advise u to have something like the
sony ericsson :
k750i (cheap , nice looking , easy to use )
k800 (not really cheap .. but really nice )

Posted by: bonoz

Hmmm... those phones, I don't think are avaiable here in the USA. Unfortunately.

the nokia N-Series have a great reputation

samsungs d900, E900, D600 Have good reputations, BUT very basic functions

sony ericssons are quite complicated and not avalible in USA

The thing is though, in US you have to first fine a subscriber, get a package.. then get a phone.

Unlike cool Europe where you can whatever phone you want and simply buying credit.

hmmm, dont know really what to suggest in that case....

i suppose you shoild check out which phones each of your provider gives

Posted by: JinkX

why the sony ericsson is not avaiable in the us ??
u can find it anywhere here in the middle east !!
and here u can use any phone u want .. and put the desired sim card in it and it will work ??
i thought that this is the way all phones work in the world :S

Posted by: GSM CEO

just because they have a different phone setup -

USA have only recently changed over to using sim cards!!!

the UK is much more advanced in mobiles

Posted by: JinkX

ahhh got it !!
ur using gmt or something like that right ??

Posted by: GSM CEO

GMT? - you mean the time? its 3:32 here

Posted by: bonoz

Yeah USA is far behind in mobile technology.

I would agree with JinkX. The K800 is a very nice phone but it can be expensive. The K750 is also good for the price. I would also recommend the D900 by Samsung.

Ericcson's have a bad reputation for the directional joysticks breaking.

but other than that their decent phones
