Very weird problems with Live.com personalized homepage

I contacted microsoft support about this issue and the solution they offered me was pretty useless and I don't seem to be able to find anyone who is encoutering my problem. So I decided to address this problem in a discussion board.

I am currently using Windows Vista with IE7 as my main browser. When I heard about personalized homepage of live.com, I was excited and decided to use it right away because it looks pretty nice. So I logged in, messed around with it a bit, and set it as my only homepage in IE7. I closed my browser and re-opened a few minutes later only to find that I have been signed out of live.com and I no longer have my personalized homepage. I signed in again (and I did check the "remember my password" checkbox) and restarted browser...same thing happened. Now, in order to clarify this, I am including a bunch of pictures.

In image 1, you can see my explorer window when I open it these days. Note that at the top right corner it says "sign out" and in the address bar, the "personalized" field is set to true.

So I click on the "sign out" button, and I'm am here:

I am redirected to live.com and my semi-personalized homepage. The Live Mail gadget isn't logged in, and on the left side I can see the gadgets and stuff I added to my page a few days ago. Then at the top right, there is a "sign in" button....which is weird because I thing I just signed in, since if I signed out then why couldn't I view my page in the first place? So I click on the sign in button...and I'm here:

I am in the live.com sign in page. There is no place for me to enter my password because as mentioned earlier, I set the thing to remember my password. There is only a sign in button. So I click it...I end up here:

My now personalized homepage with the gadgets I added a long time ago. At the top right there is a sign out button now, and it displays my name. This, I believe is my actual personalized homepage since everything seems to be just fine...so I decide to set it as my browser homepage using the following method:

And then I close my browser...I open my browser again...and I see this:

I have tried setting the "semi-personalized" homepage as my homepage too, same thing happens. I don't know why or how, and it is very frustrating since it makes no sense to me at all.

Any help and/or suggestions on this issue would be greatly appericiated...

PS: I have also tried this in firefox and opera...same thing happens...
