What measures do you use to protect your computer?

I use Rootkit Hunter (scans for rootkits, backdoors, and sniffers) also Bull Dog Firewall and for encryption Gaim-e (Gaim encryption) for anti-virus Panda Antivirus for Linux. Besides the software protection I practice good internet surfing/downloading practices.

-I use Firefox and try to keep my software and OS up-to-date.
-I use common sense safe browsing practices.
-I use hardware and software firewall (router + windows firewall).
-I maintain backups should the worst occur.

I've been virus free for years, and if I do get slammed, I just restore an Acronis TrueImage image I keep on another computer. In 5 minutes I'm back up again.
