Currently on my PC desktop at home I VPN into our network with the use of a cisco client. I am going to be given a Mac laptop at work and was wondering if there was a way to VPN into our network from it? Also is there some type of client like Remote Desktop Connection for the Mac? Not really VNC I know that exists, but dont like the delay. Our old tech could not get teh VPN feature working with the built in one from the Mac. I was going to run parallels or boot camp, but learned that it wouldnt run on this Mac becuase it is not an intel based processor so that option is out or I would for sure go that route, thanks!-Vince Posted by: The General Have you tried teh Cisco VPN client? http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/index.html And there is Apple Remote Desktop, might want to check that out. I dunno if it works in Windows though. It works great from Mac to Mac. :) If not, VNC is your best option. Posted by: IBMan are you looking for an RDP client for OSX? if so 2X offers a free application server and clients are available for mac, if you install the server on your windows machine you can publish a whole desktop, then run the client from the mac and RDP into a windows desktop. I believe the Mac client requires 10.3.9 available at www.2x.com vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
