I just inserted my CoD2 cd into the xbox and it told me to "insert game into xbox 360". Huh? That happen to anyone else?

It happens to my damaged PGR3 disk... It basically means your 360 isn't reading the media flag, and it's assuming it's a movie DVD, so it plays it as a movie DVD (Put any 360 game in a DVD player, it'll show that same message)...

Either your disk is damaged... Or your drive is.

Well, the game looks flawless and my 360 has NEVER had any trouble. Weird. Must be the game.

Yeah, the first time I stuck CoD3 in, it said "To play this game, put the disc into an Xbox360 console" ... like what happens when you stick it in a regular DVD player.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted freezes at least every other time I play it. I dunno if it's overheating or what... but yeah...

Personally when my drive was damaged it would load up to the shell screen, then die.

I'm guessing it's the disk. Usually, the disks that fail the media flag test usually have a scratch/defect in the [b]foil[/b] layer. Those are sometimes hard (if not impossible) to see.
