Just got a HD LCD TV (Polaroid 3232). Am interested in getting better pictures from SD DVDs. So I went to Best Buy and check out their upconverting DVD players & recorders. The salesman told me that lots of times HD will not be dispalyed successfully. How much truth is in that?

Everything they say is a lie.
They told me that a Celeron 3.1 would outperform my AMD 3500 because the Celeron is 900Mhz more.

Pfft.

Bahahahahahhahahahahhaha. I would of punched that guy if he told me that.
Upconverter DVD Players do work great, just make sure you use a HDMI cable if you can. But do not expect 720p.

heh heh... I remember the guy from BestBuy telling me "Sony CD players make rock music sound better than any other player on the market!"

Right after those words, any thoughts of buying a CD player from them went out the door with me
