Though the source wasn't sure about the final pricing, the report said there is strong possibility that Apple's boot manager software, allowing to use Windows and Mac OS X in dual boot mode will be sold for $29 to Tiger users. The only reason people want to use Mac's, and you have to pay for it :p Posted by: Ste
Originally posted by talldude123 That's just stupid... The only reason people want to use Mac's, and you have to pay for it :p
Really, if I had a gun and were standing behind you, I'd just end it. That has got to be the DUMBEST thing I have ever seen you say. Anyway, who cares? You people don't seem to complain when you pay for other software, or when you don't pay for that software. How is this any more ridiculous than any other piece of software for sale? Pirate it. Period. This is like "zomgz0rs Adobe is going to CHARGE for Lightroom when it's finally released! NO WAI!" Posted by: Ste Um, Me thinks he was joking... hence the :p maybe. Actualy, Me hopes it was a joke. Posted by: The General Don't underestimate talldude123's level of intelligence. It really is that low. If they charge for Boot Camp, then they can officially support it which means that I can dump this POS desktop and use my MacBook Pro for work related stuff, and get support through Apple in doing so. One phone call to Apple will quickly burn through that $30. Posted by: mac_mogul I'm not surprised. Betas are free. Full versions are not. Simple as that. Once again its an example of apple saying "Hey, if you wanna use Windows on our computers, we'll sell you the software to do it." They're not forcing you to do anything so get your panties out of a twist and go hook up a printer or something. It's just that boot camp should be free. I'm sure many people agree ;) Windows doesn't charge people for most applications that they make for XP, so why should Apple charge for boot camp? Posted by: The General
Originally posted by talldude123 Nope. I'll give you that, but how is this any different from any other public beta? You people didn't make a big deal with Microsoft started charging for Vista, which had a free public beta. Given the fact that it's no different from any other public beta, there really is nothing to see here, or even talk about. What? Someone released a public beta, then charged for the final release? O RLY? Posted by: macdude425
Originally posted by talldude123 That's just stupid... Why would anyone buy a Mac and not put the Mac OS on it? Wait - you would! I remember it being pretty similar except for the little apple on the top left, with the apps right there. Posted by: mac_mogul
Originally posted by talldude123 Depends...
