hi all - this is my first post on here and i'm just looking for some general help. i am looking for a laptop which allow be to play a few simple games like football manager on it (nothing that requires a huge graphics card etc) i'm not great with computers hence me being here - all i need to know is, is an advent 7003 a good laptop? my friend has one which he is going to give to me cheap but i dont really know if its a decent one or not. can someone please help. Thanks in advance :D

More than $200-$250, tell him to take a hike.

The Advent 7003 is an Okay laptop, but the hard drive is small, and the processor is going to guzzle the batteries.

You're from UK, I'm guessing by the laptop?
You can find some pretty nice laptops online for around $500-$600.

i am from the uk. well he is asking about Ł100. i dont mind about the battery as i will probably run it off the mains most of the time, like i said its just to play a few games. i think the hard drive is 40Gb which suits me fine as games are no more than 1Gb or 2. will just be a few stratagy games thats all. do you think this would be a good buy?
