Is this true or just made up ? Posted by: BryanJK Well the controller isn't very heavy, but... if your using enough force for it to "slip out of your hand" and it flying into your tv breaking it, well... it's common sense that it's not "real bowling"... and for it slip out of your hands just like that, you must of had alot of lotion on, or you grease your hands regularly...lol Posted by: NvidiaDude well, people go mad and are very stupid if there normal wrist strap breaks theres no need for Vigourous movements and hard fast movements it comes all from the wrist not allways from the arms people need a lesson on how to use the Wii mote Posted by: TheDiceman I have had my Wii since teh week after release and play often and... vigorously with some games. I never wear my wrist strap and am amazed at how stupid some poeple must be to break things around thier house with the controller. It is not hard to hold on to. Posted by: BoysNightOut People are stupid. The straps are fine like they came. You don't need to be insane about waving the remote. It does what you want every time and it's unecessary to go psychotic and throw controls to hit tennis balls or bowl at the screen. The remote is very user-friendly and fits everyone's hands like a glove I feel like. Plus, they have gloves for them now so they won't slip, PLUS they came out with the thicker strap replacements now too. People just need to calm down and not be dumb. The end. Posted by: K M A N Well you azll seem very opinionated :p and correct i guess. Thanks Guys Posted by: NvidiaDude yep i sure am my friend Posted by: K M A N lol Posted by: Trifid
Originally posted by NvidiaDude well, people go mad and are very stupid if there normal wrist strap breaks theres no need for Vigourous movements and hard fast movements it comes all from the wrist not allways from the arms people need a lesson on how to use the Wii mote
You are 100% right, but where is the fun in that? I and everyone I know pretends to actually have a tennis racket or boxing gloves and play like the real thing. Its soo much better. Posted by: derricks4 It is more fun that way, I agree. But you have to have some sense enough to know when it is too much, and you have to take it easy. That's what could prevent this. Posted by: Infernicus all i can say is if you have broken your TV is *cough*noob*cough* Posted by: tallfreek all of that is bs...there is no way you will break your wrist strap and your remote fly across the room breaking your tv unless you are really trying to. the ones that got recalled were pretty sturdy. i tried to break it to see how bad it really was and it didnt break  the remote wont break either...nintendo makes some pretty sturdy stuff. ive seen videos (not edited ones) where people are trying to break this stuff. they throw the remotes at walls, jump on them. barely a scratch. Posted by: nitestick you wouldn't be able to break a CRT but you might damage an LCD/Plasma that hasn't got a protective screen on it. lol at the last RFLAN (250+ people LAN party held regularly around my parts) we had a WII tournament with a huge screen and one team called themselves "Broken Plasma", they were worried about what you're thinking. despite the 2-3 hour competition with about 30 people it was fine.
eh men to that, it actually reminds me about a little embarrassing moment i had when playing TP, spoilers here i guess i was on the dragon boss, on te first time i latched on to his back to pull in to damage him....i actually jumped out of my chair and started slashing like i really was on the back the back of a dragon, it felt SOOOOOO real, i was embarrassed afterwards as i was playing in front of my friends, but still, it was so cool, jumping on the back of a dragon, slashing away…. Ya and then the controller slid out of my hand, (actually it flew out) but the wrist strap held, and I was using the old ones. people must have been doing it very hard for it to snap. Posted by: NvidiaDude i think it was a waste of time Nintendo making them Wrist straps for all the n<><>bs that snapped them Posted by: samstokes I think it's true vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.
