gears of war... wtf?

so i got an 360 from my gf for xmas, and i bought a used gears of war game, my question is after the first real boss (the crazy thing that chases you though the building bashin down walls.) Right after the boss the screen goes blank but i can still hear the player messin around and like responds to my button pushing. i have no idea what to do if its the actual game or if my game or system is defective.,.... any help will be appreciated

clean off the disk really well, toothpaste and agua baby. i bought a used GoW too, and it was clean except for a smudge that had hair and some other nasty stuff on it.

lol the beserker isnt a boss... there is only one actual boss at the very end and hes called RAAM and hes is a pain in the *** to beat. took me about 4 times (bout 45min) to finally beat his ***** ***

**** yeah it's worth it! Just do yourself a favor, though. Don't play it on easy, it's much funner on hard and then insane.

Got 360 and Gears of War for xmas too and its such a good game! Way better than both Halo's so definitely worth it.

what difficulty are you on?? it took me about 10min with a couple tries on easy, just shot him a bunch when the Kryll or whatever those black bird like things are went away, and then when they went away one time i got behind him and shoved a nade in his back.

The beserker isnt too hard to kill really. Im playing on Hardcore and you just have to stand in front of each door way and roll away when he runs towards you so he bashes it down. Took me 3 attempts.

holy christ i havent checked this thread in a while.

ya i just started from a last checkpoint and it did it twice 3rd time it worked.

gears of war is definitely a sick game and worth the cash although IMO it was a bit short and some people were repetitive.

ive played the game for hrs against my buddies just loser gives god **** awesome

actually beat the game 2 days ago.... i wasnt impressed with the end boss but am pumped for GOW2.... in a few years probably haha:D

Rainbow six Vegas is way better harder but way better

Do any of you use an HDTV? I got one other week and GoW looks too dark and i dont want to lose any of the HD quality by changing the settings too much.
What settings do you have ur HDTV's at?

Cant you adjust the contrast on your tv?

Im pretty sure any nice tv has contrast adjustments

I had that same problem once when i had some freinds over and we were playing campaigne. Gears didn't impress me. I beat it, played some multiplayer, and went right back to halo2 and CS:S. Planning on turning it in for enough money to get ffxi.

Yeah i dont have a 360 but plan on getting one.. that is, after i get a Wii

I use my computer for graphics and let all my other friends use their consoles ;) (thinking that they have the best graphics available)
I still like having friends over and playing multiplayer together, thats always fun no matter what game it is.

has anyone who uses their 360 figured out how to use a non Microsoft wireless adapter for their 360? my buddy just bought a belkin adapter but we cant figure it out.... something about Windows Connect Now program........

Yeah course i can but could never find a good config to use. Solved the problem now anyway. Over at another forum theres a big thread on the tv i have and was advised to get the VGA cable because its better and now my games look great :D
