I have a Powerbook G4 that does not seem to emit any sounds at all even after all the sound settings are all the way up and is un-muted. I'm not sure how to install the driver for this devise, if anyone can give me some advice that would be awesome.

You don't have to install the driver. Unlike Windows, Mac OS X has all the drivers built in for your computer.

Chances are, you need to update your stuff.

Apple menu -> Software Update.

Thank you very much, i think it is figured out now.

LOL! But apple's are sooooo user friendly (and they "just work" too, right?)!!! ;)

Click the little apple at the top left... a menu opens up.... and one of the choices should be the software update.

I downloaded the software after about 30 minutes. The sound still does not work. Hopefully it is not a hardware problem or is it not that big of a deal to open it? What do you think might be the next step, oh yeah, its not the speakers either because i working headphones and that proved no success.

Take it to the Apple store and have them look at it. There's nothing else you can do, because it's a laptop.
