Im thinking of asking for an xbox 360 for christmas. Would it look decent on this tv, or should i look into a better one?

It'll work...

But it'll be like buying a Ferrari (xbox 360) and never taking it out of first gear (becuase you dont have an HD TV)..

Get a HD TV!

Rear Projectors are very nice and cheap and droping in price as we speak. Heres a 27 inch sony wega (best rear projectors on the market).

hmm, that link is not working.

I have always been a sony fan, never owning a gamecube or anything like that. For the xbox360 fanboys, would you consider xbox360 to be better more for the graphics or for the game?

Because i do not have that much money to spend on a hdtv even though it is for christmas lol. i guess my family is all about budget -.-

its on 27" but it does support 1080i, but then again, its 4:3.

And also, when i buy an xbox, what should i get... just the core or the deluxe stuff?

That TV would be pretty good for gaming.

Go for the premium bro!! I got 2 lol....I need to sell one but you might as well get the premium. The core has no HDD so you have to have a memory card to save games. The HDD is $100 by itself so I would advise to get the premium!
