Anyone got the latest update as to what Microsoft is going with this?

I've heard a thousand rumors, lets hear a thousand more.

as of now, use VGA hook ups, but they will most likely have HDMI in the future.

Posted by: Danks

Will that give me true 1080p ?

Rumors has it: 1080p is non Component, and the VGA cable is just a rewired Component cable.

It doesn't matter which method of transmitting the video you use, 1080P is 1080P. 1920x1080 progressive...

Wait, the Xbox360 doesn't have a digital output? It outputs COMPONANT and you can use that HD-DVD player?!? They're letting this happen? Componant is unencrypted. All you need to do is record the HD-DVDs!

Maybe I'll get one after all... :)

the VGA does 1080p but you have to ensure the tv supports upto 1080p via vga

VGA will give the best output at the moment in terms of HD. It can support up to 1080i i think, but i not sure someone confirm :)

1080i, with 1080p with future live update via VGA.

Who knows about HDMI

Posted by: killians45

1080p is already available. It was a previous update.

Yeah, guess there was an update but not 100% affective.

Here read for yourself.

I guess everything will be fixed in due time.

Posted by: killians45

I don't have HDTV so am unsure of how effective, I only knew it was out Thankfully, the chipset already has the support so a software flash is adequate enough to fix it.

this is what i was referring to
