Posted by: Harper Just install them locally on your PC like you did in the first place. Posted by: bloodhamster hi harper, tried that but the green line is glowing. Posted by: Harper What green line? Posted by: bloodhamster the green line which is running through the middle of the screen when i run the game . i.e. the problem. i'm sure it 's not my system error its a piracy issue. Posted by: bzflag What games are you talking about, and why are you so sure its not your system? It sounds to me like your video card is either overclocked too far or on the way out. Posted by: TheOtis Sometimes if your chord that plugs into your video card and your monitor is loose youll see odd colors on the monitor. Check the connection. If you've OC'ed it, down clock it and see what happends. If the problem persists, try swapping in a different video card. Posted by: bloodhamster Hi guys, screen is working perfect if i play downloaded video clips. i have tried running two of my games so far, c.o.d.2 &medal of honour. funily enough c.o.d. has a vertical green line running through it but medal of honour is a horizontal line. my system is a new build spec,64 x2 duel core 4200, 2x asusextreme 7600gs 512mb , ocz gold 1gig, 2x300gb hard drives linked in raid array as one . both games were registered online when purchased but it seems from feedback recieved so far there should not be a problem with me loading them up on another computer with the same isp provider and same e-mail address and same user name. Posted by: Harper That should not matter unless you got 2 computer online at the same time playing the same game with the same account. Then you would have problem with gaming the same. And normally you would be getting some error message alerting you that there is some one else out there logging on with the account or serial number.
DUDE. It sounds like you got bigger issues to worry about. It sounds like there is some thing stuffed with your video card or video cards drivers. It sounds like your video card has a corruptted memory (or some thing like that). You are currently thinking MACROVISION, and macrovision is only found on Video Tapes, Cable TV and DVD movies. NOT computer games. Posted by: Dexaroni Can we get a screenshot? That way we can tell you what is going on better... Posted by: bloodhamster Sorry Dex, not p.c. cool enough to know how to send screenshot. would you recommend a system test . if so who do you think has the best system test? i suppose a inexpensive test would be to buy a cheap new game and see how it performs? if i have the green line i have a hardware error?? Posted by: lancec2c30 Okay to post us a screenshot, just figure out the key that takes a screenshot in-game. Then find the picture in the program files for the game, next put it soewhere easy to find (my pictures). Then host the image. Posted by: sprtnbsblplya That can also possibly be a sign your video card is overheating or there is something else seriously wrong with it. Bad ram could also be the cause, google MemTest and follow the instructions on how to install it do a bootable disk and run it. Posted by: Beefcake Taking screenshots in Call of Duty 2 is quite easy, press the F12 key and a screenshot is placed in your \Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\screenshots directory (or whatever directory you have the game installed to) in JPG format. But, I don't know if it will show the lines your talking about. If not try using the print screen key. And if that doesn't work you can use Xfire to take screenshots. Posted by: MurdaX dude just take the screen shot so that we can help you out ok. Posted by: bzflag It's the SLI. Turn it off and it will go away. Mine does the same thing on Civ IV. But works fine on every other game I own. Posted by: bloodhamster thanks, it seems it was a graphic card issue. i took them both out switched them round and put screen on a different card. fingers crossed but it seems fine now. ian. Posted by: bloodhamster To all who replied to my problem many thanks. A graphic card issue now been sorted.[ seems a rabbit with a pancake on its head was stuck in the slot.] vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.
