[color=darkred]They don't make game consoles anymore. They still make games. This is one of the latest, for Xbox360 and PS3:

Posted by: baronvongogo

Posted by: NvidiaDude

Posted by: TheOtis

Yea, I know it's been said a million times before, but it is really too bad the dreamcast didn't do so hot in America. It had potential.

I will miss the days of MvC2 and DOA2...should have never sold my Dreamcast.

One of the problems for Sega was that they did put a lot of restrictions and requirements on 3rd party game developers in order to publish a game for the sega console . And once the Sony Playstation and Nintendo N64 hit the market. Both companies did not have a have many restrictions or requirements, a lot of the develops started doing stuff for Sony and Nintendo instead.
And in the end, it was Sega themselves that were the only one developing games.

So in the end, sega pulled the plug on the console and start developing cames instead. I do remember walking into Toys R Us and find it rather strange seeing Sonic The Headhog on the game cube with Mario.
Espeically considering that for most of my childhood i would be always getting into Mario/Nintendo Vs. Sonic/Sega Debates with my freinds at school.

Sega is making a lot of games for the Wii right now. Seems many companies are taking a liking to how easy the development kit is with Nintendo. It would be cool if they came out with another genesis tho!

What

Dreamcast runs at 200Mhz, PS2 runs at 294Mhz.

Dreamcast has 16MB of RAM, PS2 has 32MB RAM.

Dreamcast doesn't have USB or Component RGB video out, PS2 does.

Which one looks better?

I really should have picked up a Dreamcast at Toys R US back in the day. Towards the end I remember seeing them for only $40. Lots and lots of potential for greatness but horrible marketing and crappy decisions by Sega killed it.

the man who came up with teh basic idea of the dream cast now worcks for nintendo i saw it on attack of the show they interveiwed him he is also one of teh major designers for teh wii

Posted by: NvidiaDude

wow.. the dreamcast had more sound channels than the PS2 did... plus whats 90MHz... nothing much really probz gain 5 + FPS Boost if that

Posted by: Amd gt player

Mhm. Sure.

I wish.

I still have a working SEGA MEGA Drive, with a box full of cartidge games. (Road Rash 1, 2, - Mortal Combat 1, 2 and 3 to name a few).
One of the controllers has sticky buttons but apart from that - it's in top condition. Stored away in a cupboard.
;)

n7710m you do realize that was probably a joke site? Especially considering the name "Unicorn" which is not only the legendary horse, but also a common saying to depict a trojan (not virus), also known as a joke.
