i don't know if this is real but i was on conspiracy central and thought this was pretty interesting

this would totally rewrite the laws of physics

Heh, some of the threads on the forum are pretty funny...

If that's the truth, that would be awesome. I am kind of skeptical as to it's accuracy. I think we would need to see what the independant panel has said. Also, you would think this would be a huge deal...hmmm...gotta wait I guess :s

Posted by: Lonewolf5460

read around the website still iffy but they said it is showing its invention on a science magazine

Posted by: hillbillybob

ya, I just didn't see a name for the mag. This would be huge though, very huge.

Posted by: Apokalipse

if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Posted by: nitestick

i think apokalipse is holding back on his judgement here :p. i know he knows a fair bit about physics. there is no way this is possible and it's that simple. a generator is a converter of energy and no conversion is even 100% efficient.

Posted by: TheEnd187

"energy cannot be created or destroyed"

Posted by: KBlair

And when energy is transfered, some efficiency is lost.

the only way to create energy, is to create positive and negative energy at the same time, (where the total sum of energy is zero)

that is, unless our constantly scrutinised, tested, retested, and beaten to death proven laws of physics about energy conservation, are false.
the chances of this are so small, that it is approximately zero.

Posted by: TheEnd187

ahhhhhhh apokalipse don't ye forget about perpetual motion, which clearly states a minimum of 100% efficiency. of course this si also in theory.

Posted by: Apokalipse

perpetual motion is not a theory, it is a hypothesis. nobody has made a perpetual machine that actually works.

a theory is something with supporting evidence.

Posted by: TheEnd187

whoops, sorry about that apokalipse seems i should've studied more but it was late and i didn't have time for reading(lol). anyways i have seen a perpetual motion device on recket power lol,but thats a cartoon but if anything this generator they speak of would be running on the principles of perpetual motion. am I right i am just trying to see if im as smart as you lol.

not necessarily. a generator just converts energy from one form to another. (usually to electrical)
and no generator has been 100% efficient.

Posted by: TheOtis

Wow. I'm going to guess this is a hoax. Just like that asian guy that claimed to be pregnet.

Posted by: TheEnd187

he wasn't pregnant he had his twin brother inside of him i think it was called fetue infetus or something i saw it on tv it was disgusting

Posted by: zmatt

they said that the universities cept their mouths shut. if they knew about this wouldnt they be running out into the streets screaming FREE ENERGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111shift1111!
!!!!!!one
or something. nobody in their right mind would keep this secret.

Posted by: superdave1984

I'll believe it when they prove it on Mythbusters.

Posted by: saltynay

Lol This reminds me of the scandal around the two scientists that made cold fusion turned out there super computer that calculated the reaction had an error so that the actual result was only half of what it showed. They claimed they could make energy with 140% efficiency in a test tube and claimed it would solve all world problems.

No question is dumb. :D

Wouldn't having two highly polarized magnets (like those of high velocity railcars and some used in theme parks) create an endless supply of energy? I know some have to use electricity to keep them polarized. But I've seen how zapping a magnet with an insane amount of electricity will leave it highly polarized, thus creating endless efficient energy. That's a question.. lol?

No,wrong. He did claim he was pregnet.

What you're tlaking about is possible though. It happends when a female gets pregnet, the embryos start to grow, and one dosent dissatach fully or something, and it ends up being inside of the other baby.

What I'm talking about is a man actually WAS pregnet, but it was a big hoax, it was around quite awhile ago.

It doesn't create an endless supply of energy simply because it requires, as you said yourself, an input if electrical energy to maintain.

We do not have an endless supply of energy at this time. Period. I'm not expecting it to ever happen either.

They said that energy cannot be created or destroyed. WRONG! haven't they heard about nuclear reactions.

are you serious? Nuclear reactions don't create energy, nothing can. nuclear reactions simply release energy that is already there. When it splits an atom, the energy that was holding it together is released. Maybe you shouldnt post about something that you know nothing about.

the relationship is E = MC˛

AAAAAAH!!! It disobeys the law of Equivilent Exchange... it must be destroyed...

YEEEHAAA!!! BREAK OUT THE PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES :)

On a more serious note, sounds bogus, plus unlimited energy is impossible, it may look unlimited but the energy will come from somewhere, and when we figure out where it comes from, it will be too late... *ominous music*

didn't want to start a new post but heres an update

Steorn, the Irish technology development company, has today announced that its free energy technology will be made widely available to the development community immediately after the independent scientific validation process that is currently underway.

Under the terms of a modified general purpose licence and for a nominal fee, Steorn's intellectual property will be made available concurrently to all interested parties, from individual enthusiasts to larger research organisations. Steorn is taking this bold move to accelerate the deployment and acceptance of its technology for both humanitarian and commercial products.

Steorn's technology is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and allows the production of clean, free and constant energy. The technology can be applied to virtually all devices requiring energy, from cellular phones to cars.

Steorn placed an advertisement in The Economist in August 2006 to attract the attention of the world's leading scientists working in the field of experimental physics. It has now completed the selection of its jury of scientists who have embarked on the testing of the technology prior to publishing their results worldwide.
