So I am thinking about buying a 360 next week but I have a few Questions first.

1) If I get the core system, do I have to buy the HDD to be able to play xbox 1 games?
2) Is there a little attachment that I have to use to be able to use a headset with xbox live?
3) Can I use the headsets that I used for my xbox live on the xbox 1 with the 360?
4) are they still having problems with overheating?
5) if the answer to number 2 is no, does one come with the wireless controllers?

4. there really wasn't overheating issues it just like a computer if you keep it running for a long time its going to get hot and alot of people kept them in small areas where cool air couldnt get to easily so it was the users fault not the console
5. i believe if you buy the premium it comes with the headest but if you just go out and buy a wireless controller it wont come with it

ok but do I need to have some kind of something to plug the old headset into the 360 controller? Or are the ports built in?

I just picked up a 360 2 days ago. It was the premium system and comes with a headset. The heaset jack looks to be the same as my original xbox headset. On the 360, there is a mini jack on the bottom of the wireless controller that the headset plugs into, and it looks just like the one from the original Xbox. So I think it should work, it's the same kind of port.

By the way, CompUSA is selling the premium 360 for $399 plus you get another wireless controller for free ($50.00 value). No rebates or forms to fill out, they just give you the controller right there. That's where I picked up my 360.

There are even some wireless headsets available. So far I find nothing wrong with the default one but I guess if you want 100% wireless then I that is the way. I highly recommend getting the premium bundle. You can either pay 400 for the HDD and extra stuff (wireless controller, etc.) or pay 300 for core + 40 for the memory card (which is a must have if you want to save your game if you can't get a HDD) w/ a wired controller, standard video plugs, no headset, and you don't get the special "chrome finish" on your disk tray.

The 60 extra bucks is well worth it.

1. Yes, you do need to buy the HDD, as this contains the emulator in which you need to play the old games.
2. No attachment, you plug it straight into the controller.
3. Yes, you can use your old Xbox headset with your 360. You do not need to buy the attachment. As i said, plug straight into the controller. People have said that the original headset is better than the 360 one, but whatever.
4. The first batch had slight problems, but most of the major faults have been fixed so the ones in the shops now will be slightly better than they were when the 360 was first released. My 360 hasn't broke yet, and it was made in Dec of 2005.
5. No. It is not needed, as once again, i have said.

I know these Q's have been answered, but mine are easier to understand :P

Can't you use any old cellphone headset on the 360? It's just a minijack... I doubt they have sensors or anything so that when you plug in a non "Microsoft" headset, they'll stop it from working.

well I dont know about the cell phone thing but I do know that they don't have the sensor to tell if its made by Microsoft or not because I have one thats not and it works

Xbox 360's are the ****. I would go with the premium. It you are looking to purchase a used one let me know as I have a extra premium with a nitto intercooler.

Get the premium if you want to save abit of money on the HDD, wireless controller etc... But NEVER get one of those intercoolers! Most people have found that they have just messed up their console. Burning etc. It's because it used the 360's power i think, look it up, read the reviews on Amazon.

crap was gonna tell you that it may be worth waiting a little bit and see what is up with this v2.

Dont get me wrong still love xbox 360 v1 xbox has it down when it comes to online gaming etc...

edit: I looked over ps3 online stuff and it seems that they have actually learned something from xbox live and may be moving up to par status as far as options and capabilities go. Not sure how I am on being able to surf the web on a ps3 and get a bunch of spyware or whatever on a ps3.
