I am a web developer and recently my boss asked me the following: Since we submit an optimized site what is going on with spiders, and that is how often do they spiders pass from my site, do we have to resubmit the site to engines and directories, will the spiders pass forever and if that happens should i refresh the site's content? Could anyone help me? Posted by: TheMajor The spiders should pass forever afaik. Maybe they drop the site if it doesn't change within 5 years, but you would have to call Google. For sites that change often, some spiders wil visit more frequently. Posted by: sam2698 If you want the spider to track your site every couple of days, use the meta tag revisit after. I don't recommend you use that tag, but use it if you have a constantly changing site. :D Posted by: Anpoder6 Spam deleted. Posted by: nitestick i don't think i have to say.....no one click the link Posted by: skywriteing You should update the site with some content every day or twice a week. This should keep the spiders comming every day or so. You can set up software to DRIP articles onto your site 2 a week and load it up. You should also have a link building program adding links at all times. vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
