So what is it for you guys?

I would have to flip between Metal Marines and Orgeon Trail II.

Wow that was a long time ago 8 years or so?

Posted by: Ste

Mac Version, Wolfenstien 3D

Posted by: Beefcake

Doom, and Wolf3d of course cause it started the whole genre. Warcraft II and Duke3D (duke nukem) were also classics.

^^^ Ste, didn't the mac version had extra weapons like a flamethrower and others? Either way I only played the mac demo but I have the PC version.

Posted by: Ste

It did, Bazooka, Flamthrower, submachine gun, Knife, pistol, chain gun (Gattling gun).
Im pretty sure the PC version did not include the flamethrower or bazooka.

It had more levels too, I think.

Omfg I wanna play it so bad, I still remmeber the master cheat.
ledoux

Ste Goes torrenting!

Argh I can't find an emulated Version with all weapons! Argh! BAH MEH!

Keep in mind, I am only 22, so when I was in 6th grade our teacher let us play games on his computer when we had our work done.... about 5-10 boys would be gathered around 1 comp yelling at the poor guy with the mouse how to solve "The incredible Machine". A couple of our other favorites were SimCity , and Lemmings (can't remember which version. Also, I still remember the day we got Sim City 2k, we thought that was the greatest thing ever.... ahh memories...

great thread by the way.

NES- Contra, Blades of Steel, Sweet Home
SNES- Chrono Trigger, Mega Man X, Super Mario World

Zelda

Hands down.

Second place would be a list of about 20, most have been already mentioned.

Honorable mentions goes to:

Street Fighter II (arcade and console)

Rygar

RC Pro AM

Phantasy Star II (My vote for best RPG ever)

Posted by: hillbillybob

I remember Rygar, couldn't ever get past the first two levels.

What about Bionic Commando????

Posted by: joshshift

jeez rygar was a hard game.

The games I wasted my entire childhood and most of my teenage years were:

PC: SimFarm, SimCity 2000, Warcraft II, and Diablo

SNES: Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda, a Link to the Past

This is a good thread! Brings back some fond memories :) Four computers linked up in my buddies basement playing Warcraft II for 12 hours straight. Those were the days :)

First WWII FPS? lol

Posted by: baronvongogo

maybe he meant for the playstation ;)

Posted by: Dexaroni

The very first FPS (Wolfenstein) was WW2 based.

Posted by: talldude123

All-time favorite game: Super Mario 1. It started it all, and it's still fun. Maybe if somebody remastered it and added a few levels, that would make it a little more fun.

Posted by: Z3N

Old old game -> Elite

Last decade old game -> Kingpin: Life of crime. (they should make an updated version of this game)

Posted by: hillbillybob

Awww man, what about double dragon?

I never had an snes, I only had an NES, n64, and now an xbox. *sniff* I remember my nes, I want one now.

Posted by: Danks

wow., you never had an SNES? :-(

Thats prob the best console ever made....

Posted by: hillbillybob

ya, and believe it or not, growing up my parents didn't buy any of them . My aunt gave me and my sisters the NES, I did *alot* of odd jobs for the n64, and I paid for my xbox. So there you have it. And games, forget about it...we had to pay for all those.

Posted by: talldude123

I have had an NES, Game Boy Color, N64, PS1, PS2, and PC.
