People who rank a system by its controller go get an adapter they are out for all systems to interchange controllers. Next is the GameCube, again this is a powerful system and it out powers the PS2. Now a I know many people will not agree but the facts show it, in terms of power that is the ranking and that is all there is to it. Now if you think about it as well you will realise that its only natural. The XBOX is made by Intel, nVidia, and Microsoft. Thats a big backing. Nintendo also did the same asking ATI and IBM for help with it's system. They realised that getting help from those who deal with certian issues only make there systems stronger. Sony continues to go it alone. (And quite frankly they have sucked since they bought the original PS from Nintendo) Sony has been keeping the US market down for a long time. They ahve stopped many many games such as the mega man series that was rereleasednot to mention how horrible the first units were (They caught fire!!) The creator of the Resident Evil series is quoted in Game Informer (and the on Japanese radio broadcasts) as saying the following: "Sony makes a horrible system. Since the release I have bought 2 of each system because they have bad lasers in them (True they are made of polycabionite the most easily scratchable surface for cd lenses) and I will not create for the Playstation again!" If you would like to know the issue it's the one with Starcraft Ghost on the cover. I have the issue and I can upload the section if you really want to read everything for yourself. Now obviously if he feels that way there is more backing on this then most PS fans want to admit. Also the fact that US gamers stay so loyal when Sony held the hard drive from us as well as FF 11 for months because they did not want to release them here. It is complete Bu** Sh**!!! I can't stand the fact that they hold us back when they feel like it. I support the XBOX so much and I hate Gates, I really hate him being a Mac Addict but I can tell you flat out that the XBOX stands for an American system that kicks butt! And quite frankly it does. Sony has been causing problems for us in the US and I think we should support the systems that are not only made here but the fact that we will not be held back by a company's thoughts on whats good for us. If we all don't mind that then we should let the government go ahead and tell us what games can and can not be released! Come on ppl! Sony has been holding things back from us for quite some time and for those who say I do not like the XBOX because of Microsoft lets take a look at Sony in the book "The Japan that could not say no." Sony makes Gates and Microsoft look like a child in the candy stop throughing a fit because he can not have a candy bar. Sony has caused food shortages and done everything it can to be the company in Power there. If you dislike Microsoft for its practices and then turn around and say hey Sony is great, I love the PS2 because the XBOX is made by Microsoft and Gates is evil for what he has done to the computer industry. Thats the pot calling the kettle black. The PS2 is the weakest system out right now in terms of Power. Now here are the rest of the issues to factor in: 1)The PS2 has a the market on games like Final Fantasy (except for nor Nintendo is back in the mix.) 2)XBOX does not have the gaming support that Sony has gotten, so I think we should give it time. We all see that over time the XBOX is getting more aboard just like Sony did. But let us remember that when Sony bought the Playstation from Nintendo no one liked the Playstation. Everyone was for the N64 then they saw what the Playstation could do and all of a sudden it was hey the playstation is not that bad. Then it became hey the Playstation rocks. Yet it seems that everyone forgot the fact that people gave the PS a chance and it was a good thing. The name Microsoft has made it harder but really when you compair it to Sony like I said above this is not a vaild issue at all. I think that it is not fair to hold the small things like the controller or the owner against it. Not unless you wil do the same to Sony and remember the systems that they made and still make that have laser issues and lets not forget the first Playstations that caught fire. 3)Sony is the only maker involved in there system and it has problems mechanically that are proven. 4) The Cube and XBOX are made by 3 makers jointly to give us the best possible. 5) Many makers have contract with Sony (Like Rockstar who makes Grand Theft Auto). Hopefully when that changes we will see more of these games making it to other systems. 6) While the whole Memory card and Hard Drive issue is still up in the air I like the Hard Drive and am further disapointed to find that the PS2 HD will not let you save games to it. I would think that should be normal. I love that I do not have to buy a memory card unless I really want to take my game somewhere else. But when you add up the cost of a new PS2 and a Memory card and then compair it to the cost of an XBOX and the requirement of a controller to play DVD's I do not think you come across to big a difference but when you ad in the fact that you do not have to buy another memory card again...? Well thats up to the user I have 2 playstation memory cards, a 16x PS1 card and a single PS2 card. I have 14 games for the PS2 and I am able to get by. But I know that if I do not stay on top of my card and the fact that I have yet to start some games that is letting me get away with it. Now I also have a Cube and XBOX and Dreamcast so my views come from actually using all systems and not just going with others feelings. To be flat out honest I like my Game Cube Best. I buy games in the order of XBOX, Cube and then PS2 but I really like the Cube. Its a fun system. The XBOX is my big game system and the PS2 my RPG and PS1 player. I also use my Game Cube to play Gameboy games. Hopefully in light of adding up the facts and maybe opwning a few eyes the thoughts on Sony may change. I just think if you say one thing you should know all the facts. Sales o not make a system the best in my opinion. I think its what I like that matters and no one else. We need to make our own choices and I hope that those who do look into such things deeply will like the amount of research I have done on this. Oh and I got this information by working at GameStop. I love the controller on the xbox (controller s), It just fits your hands while the ps2 and gamecube is very awkward to hold. And Halo on xbox>halo on pc. Fable... thats going to be amazing. My ps no longer works and haven't bought another one, so I admit I miss my RPG's, but just play them on computer instead. I made no comments toward the PS2 being superior, and I should have expected some XBox lover to defend the XBox. First of all, [B]no console and/or company used to own rareware[/B] . It used to be multiconsole. However they stuck their Perfect Dark title to Nintendo. *Sigh* why must people be so biased. For your information the owning of Rare was through Stock, again you need to read up on some of the facts here because you missed almost every point I told you. Nintendo owned 51% of Rare through Stock shares then decided to let them go. Microsoft bought the shares. I will have to check which game informer it is but I will let you know. So again before you go and try and make a comment get the facts, you still miss the point that the system you promoted, (PS2) holds more back from you than anything else. You also missed the point of just what the box is, and that you really have not looked at all the facts here. You were wrong about Rare, wrong to call MS evil because they bought the 51 shares your beloved Nintendo sold, and wrong to call all the games japanese and thats why you hate them when you turned around to say, hey I like the PS2. Again you have no idea the irony of your comments nor do you have any idea as to the facts of the situation. You made the mistake of trying to pawn off that its because I like the XBOX. Everyone get's mad, as you can tell I really get made at Sony for holding out on us, esp since I am a Mega Man fan and they held out so much of that series on us not to mention others. For those moaning about the xbox controller is the lamest thing ever. If the controller isnt great (which imo i think is much more comfortable than any other) that doesnt make the whole console bad, at all.
