What I'm looking for: LCD HDTV that can display in 1080p. 42 inches or bigger. 8ms or less. I've looked at plasma TVs, but I'm worried about burn-in. How common is it? $2000-3100 is the price range. The TV will be used for gaming 90% of the time. ^_^ Posted by: sprtnbsblplya Dont we all? Posted by: n30phYte here are some through a very quick search. these sites may not have the lowest price as i was just looking for specs. if you wanna find a lower price, just google the make and model #. http://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-LVM-42W2-1080p-LCD-HDTV/dp/B000E7RACK http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889234002 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889102103 this should get you started. i will look more for you when i have a little more time. i'll try to post some more lkinks throughout the day. Posted by: atomic tofu burn in shouldn't be your main worry for plasma...it's more the gas life (perverts), hehe. Then the burn in. Burn is minor unless you are one of those odd people who will have a single static image on the screen all night. Rich pot heads usually have to worry about it, you know...do some hits, while watching a movie...then the movie is over and still sitting there...then pass out. lol http://www.olevia.com/jsp/products/specs.jsp?pid=742i high end of your price range...BUT wait 6-10 months and it'll fall into place :) Posted by: n30phYte i dont think he wants to wait 6-10 months to get a TV. i hope not anyways. Posted by: Gallente I went to Circuit City today to look at some TVs, and saw this one at the entrance: Sony XBR2 40" LCD 1080p The picture was absurd. I saw some kind of cables next to it that were like $100, do I need these in order to play games? I remember people saying the cables that enabled you to do that (HDMI, I think) were only around $30. Also, neither Best Buy nor Circuit City had any PS3 or Wii kiosks. :/ Posted by: arn just went thru it. a suggestion: Vizio. no ax to grind. think its great low price; waiting for next generation. Posted by: killians45 Hmmm.... just saw wal marts black friday list and they have a 42" HDTV plasma going for $998. Limit one per person.
What brand was it though? I'd guess it was an Ilo or something like that. Posted by: killians45 Not sure. Your probably right, though. They didn't list specs, only a generic list of leaked sale prices. Posted by: n30phYte Yeah i've seen them at Wal-Mart and the picture quality is surprisingly clear. I'm just sketchy on the brand name. Has anyone owned one of these? vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
