Now I'm not sure if I'm in the right place, however I just build websites for kicks and I was able to get a small gig, I have developed a site [url]http://www.volvotruckandbus.com.au/sydney.htm[/url] but now they want to see if I can increase their rating on search engines. I thought this might be a good place to start still any advise on the site or how to increase search ratings would be great. Thanks guys.

You need to get backlinks for the site. Get your site listed on other quality sites that are on a similar or same subject as yours. The more links the better, but only have one or two links on each site. With some sites you may have to do a link exchange. Also look into adding your site to some web directories.

Another great way is to include your site in signatures of forums. Try to look for a forum that is very popular and similar or same as your subject.
