Posted by: spfd Since you live in Brampton, Mississauga, T.O area, you should recieve something called the Pennysaver. Theres always people advertising backups there. As for games, From my knowledge, I do not own a ps2 but from what I've heard. It started out that the ps2 games were edited , so the files would fit onto a regular cd (removing intro movies, un needed things etc..) but now I heard you can backup your games using a DVD burner. Anyways, the reason why it's called backup games is because this site was not created for illegal information. By copying games without purchasing the origional, its illegal. Posted by: pudge yea so what its illgeal i have bought my ps2 fair and square and bought lots of games now i think i should get some free stuff and if these billion dollar companies don't like it screw them its not like they are going to care how much does it really cost to make a game $3 when they sell it for $74.99 and make millions off of it so i say screw them (but they make very entertaining game lol) Posted by: phake its so much easier to just say your doing back-ups. people will help then Posted by: pudge so does any1 know if u can backup ea games? Piracy kills the console. A fine example is Sega Dreamcast, due to how easy it was to pirate there games, the company went bankrupt and no companies wanted to develope games for there console. Posted by: Shakie 1. Yes you can back-up EA Games, but can't play them online. (Ha-Ha) 2. You shouldn't steal games 'just because you can'. Posted by: pudge why can't u play them online? Posted by: Shakie Because your average CD/DVD Burner can't read the encrypted copy protection. Even if you do a 1:1 burn, it still won't copy it. Posted by: pudge wtf i have just learned that i cant get a no swap chip put into my ps2 wut the **** is up with that i have the oldest version and they told me that is i put the no swap in it will freeze and if i put the old chip in i need a gameshark and it cant play new games wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: spfd Dreamcast - No Swap - No modchip ! Posted by: pudge Dreamcast- old, shitty graphics, no online, old, no new games, old, shitty!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: spfd
Originally posted by pudge Dreamcast- old, shitty graphics, no online, old, no new games, old, shitty!!!!!!!!!!
1. Dreamcast was launched to be in the same generation as Xbox/PS2. 2. Graphics is 128 bit just like PS2/XBOX so if you think that DC has crappy graphics, your saying ps2 and xbox does aswell. 3. You can play online, it was the first console that let you play online and surf the net online. 4. and as for no new games, that what i argued before and someone said that there still releasing new games. Posted by: 2Crunk I like the DC but to compare it to a PS2 or Xbox is rediculous. Just because it is a 128 bit system like the other two doesn't mean that the graphics are gonna be the same....just look at the Atari Jaguar...the first 64 bit system but did it even come close to comparing to the nintendo 64..No Way! Even the PS1 has better graphics and it is only a 32 bit system. Posted by: scottshackrock PS2 has "bad sectors" pressed into the disc. Their DVDs are not BURNT, they are made with glass masters. Burners do not have the technology to make these bad sectors the same way the glass masters do..... so basically until somebody is able to figure out how to TRICK theplaystation, 1:1 copies won't ever be happening. in the meantime, you can backup the PS2 game for everything except those bad sectors, and a mod chip or swap disc or many other things wil llet you play them. it is illegal to do this with any games you do not own. Posted by: 06482600 You can Use Alcohol Soft 120% to copy the "bad Secs" for a true 1 to 1 - Backup - ;- ) Posted by: Cyber Hunter But aint they copyrighted Posted by: nitestick end of discussion. :lock: vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.
