How do i do this? Oh and I have "Compact Disc Recordable" CDs. Can i burn programs onto those? Thanks :) Posted by: Rawan AbuSalman Before anything...do you a CD Burner? To be able to burn anythign onto a CD/DVD, you will need a CD/DVD Writer... What OS are you running at? Windows XP has built-in software (made by Roxio) that allows you to burn onto CDs...You simply insert the blank disk, and either open it in My Computer and drag the folders yo u want to add to it into the window, or simply right click on any file/folder, choose Send To, then click on the disk drive letter.... After the files are added, you only have to click on Write Files onto CD on the top left corner...and you're done! There are also seperate programs for burning...my favorite is Nero...but there are several such as Roxio, Alcohol etc...
Yes, you can if they are blank...if they are not, you might be able to "add" to them, if they are burnt as multisession disks...(you will be able to add data until you reach the capacity limit, but you cant erase anything...If you want to be able to erase, you will need to use RW (re-writable) disks... Hope that helps! Posted by: punkdrummer Yes i have a CD burner. Ive burned countless audio CDs on this computer. I tried to burn it via Roxio before i posted this. I found the folder on roxio and the programs i put in there did appear. It said there were no audio files in that folder.. what is an OS? Posted by: Jam3s-Zer0 Os = Operating System eg.
Im not quite familiar with the interface of roxio...but it is possible that you selected Audio CD....therefore, when you put in the files, Roxio did not recognize any audio files... Try to find someplace where it says Data CD instead of Adio CD...and do the same and try it...Make sure you have an empty cd (or a multisession one) in the drive... Alternativly, you can use the software in Win XP made by roxio to burn files...it is the easies if you are planning on burning data files since it does not require you to launch a seperate program...
