Antec makes superior PSU's, though, so look into them. Posted by: vipercrazed well i dont need modular at all, can i just snip the wires i will never ever use? then tape the ends up? u really dont think hiper is good? **** i relaly dont like 150, then i cant afford a maze gpu block for my 7900gt..... o and i would liek to know what compies are usually really easy to rma to, and whichones have a no questions lifetime warranty i know ocz had somethin like that Posted by: vipercrazed woah someone said this in the silverstone reviews This might be a nice pwrsupply but it will not work in a gigabyte motherboard that requires -5V on pin 20 of ATX pwr connector. This pwr supply has no -5V so check your motherboard before ordering. can u figure out if my a8n-32 deluxe board will work with this psu? or is that gigabyte mobo a fluke? Posted by: Running the ultra would probably be the best stability wise. and force flex cables are easy to work with. oh and snake eyes don't say antec makes superior psu's. they have really bad quality control and do not fix the problem Posted by: vipercrazed i hear ya, the ultra has a rail just for the cpu and silverstone has rail for cpu mobo and gpu, and ultra is $60 cheaper Posted by: reckliss hiper is great.... Posted by: vipercrazed ok so blue hiper or UV ultra, both same price and watts basically hiper has better sleeves and less lights, ultar has a side window man its hard Posted by: reckliss hiper is the better psu (Specs Wise) and made by a better company Posted by: Running anyone is good, but the X2 will be better when you start stress testing it. no voltage fluctuations at all. if your still kind of confused visit this thread http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=27&threadid=1815673&enterthread=y should teach you anything your wondering on psu's Posted by: aspire.comptech Wierd... From everything ive seen the only power supplies that have ever had any major problems in reviews have been ultra ones. And also, ive seen really bad voltage fluctutaions on ultra power supplies insome review. If i were you id go for the SIlverstone of the Hiper, both are excellent power supplies. Finally... ANTEC makes excellent power supplies and are among the best on the market. Now they make not be the coolest looking, but they get the job done. Ive got a 350 watt antec running a 3.4 prescott, dfi mobo, 2 hdd, 6600gt, dual dvd burners, and all the little extras. Its a superb little power supply Posted by: vipercrazed yea i tryed buying the hiper, and my credit card declined on a site ive had no problems with in the past(no not newegg or xoxide), maybe its tellign me not to get it...... duh duh dunnn we'll see, o and i was reading reviews about the psu i have now and its supposed to be 430, but reviewer said 300 constant and 430 is only peak, lmao 300w! thats why my comp blue screens with cathodes and watercooling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when i do get a new psu i knwo to leave it just pluggedin for atleast 15 seconds. if longer will that make it any different? and should i leave it on for a couple days for the first time or is that actually bad to stress it in the beggining?
