That is a decent processor overall, granted it's not what many on these forums would call gaming processors, but it is fine. I think that your motherboard should support AGP or PCI Express. You should check to see if you have one because I would highly recommend you get a new video card. You could also try lowering the resolution and turning down some settings. If you have agp or pci x support and are willing to get a new card, reply with how much you would like to spend and I'll do my best to pick you out something. Posted by: andyroo89 well im planning on upgrading my video card i got that from my friend for 5 buxs and it was a offer i couldnt resist im willing to spend umm 60-80 dollars Posted by: aaronkupen Do you know if your motherboard has pcix or agp support? Posted by: andyroo89 its has a AGP slot on it Posted by: aaronkupen I think your best bet would be to get a nVIDIA 6600 off of newegg. It should be in your price range, and is significantly better than the card you are using now. Posted by: andyroo89 kk will i be able to play bf2 with it? and is this the one your talkign about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814133013R Posted by: aaronkupen Yah, PNY is a good brand. Yes, that will play BF2.... I believe the minimum card to play it decently is an fx5700, so with ur 6600 and your cpu/ram you should be able to play it pretty well. Posted by: andyroo89 kool Posted by: WorldIndustries 6600 will last for games now, but won't get him very far in the future... Posted by: aaronkupen A 7900gtx won't get him far in the future. He is using a 9250 right now, and is able to play most games out today to some degree. A 6600 will last him for some time, becuase he does not seem like the kind of person who wants to have high settings... he just wants to play the game with some decent frame rates. In his price range, it is the only sensible thing he can get, and of course a 6600 won't do well once Direct X 10 gets full blown. There is always a better card, and there will always be a better card. For his needs right now, that card is his best bet.
