ok ive obvioulsy got this setting on but when i try and play yahoo pool it all loads up fine then when i want to make a table or click to join someone elses table it says blocked at the top of the screen even though its in the allow list? only options i get at the top is to block the site, which its obviously doing already

Only way ive over come this is to completly turn off the pop up blocker and i obviously dont wanna do that but if i cant find a way of just making it stop blocking yahoo games is it ok to just turn the blocker off whilst i play the game then turn it back on afterwards? dont think that would hurt would it, as i wont get any pops just playing on yahoo website

Get the Yes Popups extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1648/

It will allow you to give permission for popups.

Thanks trotter but that didnt work, it was set to "yes pop ups" and i added the website into it aswell and it still wouldnt let me open a table or join someone elses, it wants me to go into FF and untick the main box before it works:(

Sounds like the makers of the site just want to be buttheaded about it.

Thats yahoo for you i guess!
But as i said turning off popups in FF just while im playing pool shouldnt hurt should it?

Funny, ususally there a little bar at the top that tells you popups have been blocked, and gives you the option to allow them....

you can always used the dreaded IE.

Posted by: jonny_uk

yeah that bar did come up, i clicked allow but it doesnt work, works on other sites though

well since re-installing zonealarm pro on my new machine and inputting said website into the ad blocking bit its been ok, even with firefox's ad blocking turned on(and the site accepted) so all is well:D

you should see it telling you its been block then you click on options or something and allow for this site.
if thats not available on yours thats very odd.
try Tools - Options - Content and go on allowed site.
type the URL and then allow.
this must work!
