If so... What were the results.. (of course i know that i need to use isopropyl alcohol to clean the heatspreader of the cpu and the heatsink..) Posted by: nitestick i haven't but you should probably list the processor model number if you want an accurate answer ;). Posted by: uzi9mm p4 520 @ 2.8ghz Posted by: joshd i don't see why it would be any different than any other type of socket/processor? i expect it would lower the temps... Posted by: turtile I've done it before. It lowered the tempature a little bit but it was a pain to install. It usually takes about 3 seconds to install the HS/Fan but without the space from the pad it took forever for it to go on right. Posted by: WorldIndustries Whoa. I've never noticed that. My crappy Intel stock cooler havs this aluminum shim on it, like tape. I never really took notice of it, left it on, and put AS5 on over it. I guess I can fix that later, for something to do, when I get bored... vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
