Links open 'My Documents' folder and not IE

Hello,

Whenever I email links to my girlfriend, she says that they don't work properly. Instead of opening Internet Explorer, like a good little link should, it opens her 'My Documents' folder. So to see the link I sent, she has to copy the link from the email and manually paste it into the Internet Explorer address bar.

I'm unable to physically look at her computer, and was wondering if anyone knew what rogue settings could be causing this, and how to possibly fix it.

Thanks.

Outlook Express?

You're saying there might be a setting in Outlook Express (which she's never used btw) that could fix it?

I was asking if she uses Outlook Express

Ah, gotcha. No, I'm pretty sure she doesn't use Outlook Express. She uses Outlook 2003.

well, all i can lend as my two cents is:

IE and Windows Explorer (my documents, mycomputer, etc etc) are tied together. you can use the refresh command or the home command inside my computer and such, its all tied to the same program.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook? I have the same problem with a client's computer and am going to look at it tomorrow.
