I havent been receiving any reply notifications in my e-mail for the past 3 days.

Posted by: talldude123

My account is set to send notifications to my email as well, but i have never got one on my 1-year here.

Posted by: TheMajor

Still not working.

Posted by: Trifid

Lol. Opposite for me. Nearly all the threads I replied in, I would get one. I ended up turning it off.

Posted by: TheMajor

I just received a reply notification for some topic. Maybe it is working again.

Can somebody reply to this message plz?

It's broke because Portugal beat The Netherlands over the weekend :p :D

Kidding of course, but I had to spice up something in the, normally boring, reply.

Lol. Reply notifications are working again!

Not working anymore :(

It's just you, mi amigo.

Actually, I wouldn't know if they are working or not. I have never used it.

Posted by: TheMajor

I would be nice if Dave or some other admin could comment on this.

Posted by: talldude123

PM them.

I don't think they're on the forums that often, so at least a PM will get them to look at your question right away.

TheMajor, have you subscribed to this thread? Unless you use the "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" feature (enabled), then you'll only receive emails for subscribed threads.

I don't know of any reason that yours would work and then not work. Mine is working.

Dave :D

Posted by: TheMajor

Yes, I always subscribe to important threads; and I have "by default" enabled. It always used to work perfectly up until a couple of months ago. I already tried enabling/disabling it. Doesn't work. I will see if my e-mail provider as added something to my blacklist maybe.

Posted by: TheMajor

I added tech-forums.net to my white-list, and un-subscribed from all threads. I had 111 pages of subscribed threads; maybe I hit some limit. Hope this helps.

Posted by: Snake-Eyes

It works on and off for me, as well. Though, i say on and off meaning some threads that i have replied in will not notify me via email, whereas some of the other threads will notify me. I checked every available option, and it's set to notify by email by default and such.

Posted by: TheMajor

Still not working here.

Posted by: iambrian

mine isnt working either

It doesn't work either way. I can enable "enable notification by default", or subscribe manually, it won't work.

If I send an e-mail using the "Email user" link in my profile it doesn't work either.

I'm gonna change my email now and see what happens.

I changed it to my business email. It seems to work now.

Maybe GMX.net got blocked by the tech-forums mailserver's spamfilter? Could you check that?

My regular email is TheMajor {flops} gmx {flops} net

Posted by: TheMajor

Yes, it works. Should have tried this earlier. Weird though, been using my regular email since I joined TF.

Been a while that I received mail from TF! :p
I think I'll post more frequently now.

mine works on and off. Sometimes/ most of the time I get the email, but there are times that I don't.

Posted by: DMo224

You may want to try the things TheMajor has tried. Also, some ISPs will change their list and inadvertently add a domain or url that should not be on there. Also, a blocker for your browser or email may put the TF stuff in the spam folder.

I finally figured out my problem. If I do the "quick reply" at the bottom of each page, it does not send me an email whenever someone replies. However, If I hit the "Post a reply" button and submit my reply there, I get an email. And yes, I have auto notification turned on, its just like it doesn't get activated when I do a quick reply.

Yes, you have to subscribe manually if you use quick reply. That's what I've been doing for the past 2 years.

Thats why it works when you post your own thread then ;)
