Thanks. Posted by: jdhore1 i'd personally say Core Duo Posted by: turtile Pentium M until Multi-threaded games are common. Posted by: nitestick you really shouldn't buy a laptop for gaming but if you must probably the yonah core solo.
y not get a LAPTOP for gamming !! Wats the Excuse !! Get the AMD there more stable !!! get 2GB Ram in it aswell Posted by: nitestick the excuse would be that they are not truly intended for gaming. gaming laptops are just a side market that has opened to meet demand. i can understand if he has need of a laptop and would like to game on it as well but too often now people are buying laptops solely for gaming. Posted by: Amd2800 yer but is there a problem wiv that Posted by: Tordenskjold AMD FX Posted by: cyrax
Originally posted by Tordenskjold AMD FX
In a laptop? :amazed: Posted by: Tordenskjold well i have to say this.. a laptop for gaming...?? Posted by: cyrax I think gaming laptops are actually a good idea. Gaming on the go! :) Posted by: PZEROFGH Make sure you get the Go 7900GTX 512MB in that laptop :p Posted by: jk88 Thanks for all your advice. The reason i want a gaming laptop is because ill be headed to college soon and i want something more mobile. I'm hearing pentium M, core duo and core solo. I personally want the core duo, however is there really a big difference in choosing core duo over core solo or M. Also i think a 7900 is a bit expensive for my budget. I was thinking of getting the geforce go 7800. Is there a big gap between those two cards? Posted by: wedge_00 Both of those cards will do your gaming easily but the 7900 series has pretty much replaced the 7800's. Go for the Dual core M, easily the best mobile processors available. Make sure you do get a system that has decent battery life, the bigger the processor and video card as well as the hard drive it will drain your battery quicker. The centrinos are the best in power consumption levels don't take that much and got a lotta grunt in them. :o Posted by: jk88 Ok thanks a lot Wedge. I guess I'll go for the dual core. vBulletin Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited. PPC Management vB Easy Archive Final - Created by Xenon |
