im new on nintendo wifi and was wondering if someone could possible answer a feew of my questions..
First.. how do you chat with someone online (mario cart DS) using picto chat or otherwise?
Also, how do you get someones friend code or make them your rival... please help...

You can chat with Mario Kart DS. And all you have to do is get their code and add it to your friends list. It couldn't be easier.

You can chat with Metroid Prime Hunters (voice chat) and you can also chat with animal crossing.

chat over nintendo wifi????? or just when they are sitting 30 feet from you?

You can chat into the mic and they will hear it on their system. The service works no matter where they are.

You can do it over Wi-Fi but you can only do it with people that you have in your friends list. Except Metroid Prime Hunters I think you can talk with anyone. Correct me if I'm wrong, I havn't taken it online yet.

you must exchange friend codes manually. you will need both DS to be configured with a certain friend code. That is why a reciprocal exchange is needed :)
