New Intel Unlocked Processors to Debut at Computex

A long time ago in a processor market far far away, processors without multiplier locks were the norm. Enthusiasts enjoyed this era...until some jackasses started "remarking" processors.

Nice. The quad core went from a 3.2 GHz to about 4 GHz with a 30% multiplier with 8 threads running - 2 threads running per processor has been about the best performance in my experience as well. Now, if we can just retrain all software designers to use multiple threads when programming...

Did anyone see this ? Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-875K Lynnfield 2.93GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Unlocked Desktop Processor

It is 875K and it has unlocked multiplier. I heard people saying it is sold for $199 in Micro center.

I really wonder how well does it overclock
