Adding Touch Controls

I'm almost finished with an android game that I'm working on but I'm having an issue that Google is not helping me with. How do I add touch controls to my game? I'm not talking about a touch joystick and keys like that Emulators use, I'm talking about like I want to be able to touch an object in my game and move it. Everytime I search Google, they tell me how to add mobile buttons and a joystick but that's not what I want. Any help will be great! Even a link to a certain site that explains it. Thanks for the help!
