So I reset the bios to default and disconnected the Blu-Ray player to see if it was hanging out the shutdown. Neither fixed the issue.

Regarding the third issue. I've tried doing a clean boot and it still hangs up on shutdown. I've also looked at the “View advanced information about your computer's performance†and don't see any glaring issues.

Etheral_Dragon, yes I believe you are correct. The tv will essentially be a second monitor which I can use for playback or general pc use. Does it make a difference to the hardware that the tv is 120 Hz? My thought is a faster refresh rate would require more throughput.
