    Ghosting windows 7

Have you tried to create the image by booting the machine off a boot disk? I mean this should get you past any incompatabilities. Unless there is a reason you need the client installed on the machine. How are you imaging PCs today?

    Admin disabled = possible doom?

Are you sure its asking for THE admin account and not just any old admin account. I mean when you first setup XP it prompts you to create a user and that user is an admin.

Windows 7 Seems Slower to Sleep and Wake Up

Here is a pretty cool article comparing Vista and 7. Like everyone is saying, it all depends on everything else that is going on, hardware, software, processes, etc. So, how does Windows 7 perform? - PC World- msnbc.com One thing to understand is that Windows 7 is not that much different than...

Help flash HP dv9408 bios from thumbdrive

Yea, if you have made no hardware changes recently I would be very reluctant to touch the BIOS. If anything it sounds like an OS issue. Please respond to all of Jorosoft's questions before proceeding.

    Performance Issues and general slowness

I understand that prefetching exists in XP, but XP does NOT handle memory nearly as efficiently as Vista. However it depends highly on what is running at the same time as the program in question. If he is running XP with all the bells and whistles it can take more than 256MB of RAM. But thats...

    Performance Issues and general slowness

2 Big Reasons are Windows XP 32-bit and only 2GBs of RAM. Getting the graphics card is great, but if the computer is forced toread data from the hard drive and cannot store a majority of it into memory, then it will appear to perform slowly. Vista 64-Bit is the way to go, with Upwards of 4-8...

    wireless router trouble.

First, I would not recommend using the software included with the router. Plug the Router into the DSL Modem and her laptop into the Router directly. Make sure the modem is plugged into the broadband port on the router. It is usually set aside from the other ports. There are usually 4-5...

    Laptop screen problem

There should be a port on the back to connect an external monitor. See if when you plug one in you get something on the screen. You may need to hold fn and one of the F8s to extend the screen to the external output.

    BIOS/Windows sees 4gb out of 6gb

I believe that XP can only support 4GBs of RAM. I am checking on this now, because I know someone who had a similar issue. So it could be a software support issue and NOT a hardware issue. OK so it sounds like an XP issue. 64-bit should support up to 128GBs of RAM. I am curious whether you...
