no... its just an upgrade... it allows you to not have to buy a new motherboard just for an am2 cpu...

went from my 9800pro to 6800gt... used drivercleaner pro and Ccleaner for the ati drivers... reinstalled nvidia drivers from z-tweaked 82.12 to "offical" 81.98 drivers... using above features and while playing ffxi.. during a fight i will experience a slow down (29fps to 19fps: fraps). this...

so should i just get the cheaper of the 2... or go all out?
