    Mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I appreciate it. Haha, I forgot that I bought one of their boards one time to see it arrive DoA. Thanks for the warning reminder.

    Mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade

With my current system, yes. But with the replacement of the motherboard, the entire system changes and can be better changed. The GPU is good enough for a while, it does not warrant an upgrade, for now at least. (Though I would appreciate input as to a good card for the future) I am currently...

    Mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade

I've always wanted to play with AMD. Seems like better bang for your buck in a sense. And I'm under the impression that I would have no problem using my current GPU with an AMD mobo. I didn't realize RAM was so cheap now. Awesome. The motherboard is the tricky part. I need 5.1 for the sound...

    Mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade

A reinstall is the least of my worries. Half an hour and I'm back in business. I'm running 7. And a switch to x64 doesn't really bother me at this point. I understand where you're coming from, I just don't see how I would have to replace anything other than the mobo, ram, and cpu. Everything...

    Mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade

Why a new system when all I need to do is replace a few things? Pretty decent video card, little more ram/better cpu and I'm good to go. I just can't upgrade either without a motherboard upgrade. I'm not going to do this right now, so there isn't really a budget. I'm just looking at what my...

    Mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade

It's been a while, and I've fallen out of the loop on PC tech. My current specs are Obviously my RAM and CPU are the major things that I need to upgrade, but I'm limited by the outdated motherboard. Any suggestions? I'm not looking for crazy power, but I'd like to increase my gaming ability.

    Computer to older TV

I just bought a nice TV. This can be closed, :P

    Computer to older TV

When I plugged in my old CRT monitor via VGA it assumed primary display, so I'd say the output works fine.

    Computer to older TV

I'm just having a slight issue getting my TV to connect to my computer. With my old video card, I had S video and VGA outputs. The S Video went to the TV, the VGA to the computer CRT. Now I have a new monitor and a new video card. The monitor is connected via DVI, and the new video card still...

    Next build. RAM/PSU question.

Haha, sorry, I was slightly vague. I was actually talking about their current rep in computer cases. I'm not too worried about the quality of a 15$ card. Edit: *sigh* Not my day. So, just fried my video card, it's been on the outs for a while (60 degrees and such, not good stuff). It is...

    Next build. RAM/PSU question.

Awesome, thanks. I like that it's actually a card, so I don't have something just taking up space and still need two wires. And looking around I see that Rosewill doesn't seem to be quite the name in cases they used to be. Are they still good quality, or is there something else I should look for?

    Next build. RAM/PSU question.

Oh man, the phrasing on these makes it slightly difficult.

    Front/Rear sound

Realtek High Definition Audio. Edit: Using that I was able to at least get them both synced together playing the same thing. Though he says it's possible to use two different audio streams and I see the option, I'm not sure where/how I would tell which program to send sound to a certain...

    Front/Rear sound

So I finally got my PC to allow me to use my front headphone jack, which is nice. However, I haven't been able to find a way to get both the rear and front ports to work at the same time. I'm not trying to send two different sounds through them (though, that would be epic. Can't fathom it...

what is best laptop for gaming for price

Toshiba is pretty good, I've heard great things about their Qosmio. They have another model with an i7 in it, but that's getting pretty expensive and really, most gamers won't notice much of a difference.
