I personally have not had any issue with my old headset having too much sound bleed. HOWEVER, at LANs and such I have very often experienced such issues with other players headsets and it is something I am concerned about if I am buying a new set for myself.

That is one advantage. I do not own a game I cannot completely max out on that old thing, lol. Hopefully come late fall/early winter I will have paid down my credit card and will be able to pick up a new LCD. Currently thinking 21" widescreen since that is about the best that can fit on my desk.

Overall I consider l4d and if to be rather different games and prefer if for the extensive custom maps selection and perks/class system. However I have never been a fan of l4d versus and that is where the lasting power of that game resides.
