Idk if the resolution on your pic it too low or if it's because I'm viewing it on my phone but I can't quite make it out... But I wouldn't bump your own thread... It tends to irritate others
Then your wan up is what is changing... It may be time for a new gateway... =\
But just to make sure next time you plan to be on for a while go to ipchicken.com and write down your ipaddress, then when your Internet goes down and comes back up go back to ipchicken.com and compare the new ip...
I'm gonna have to agree with c0rr0sive ... External hdds usually don't have the greatest speed but on top of that going through a USB 2.0 port doesn't help at all... Try copying the files to your internal hdd and see if you still have the issue during playback
I completely agree with you ugoboom... On a LAN even in dhcp configuration the computers have a preferred ip address that they try to use which is why thought it was odd that the LAN ip is changing
I completely agree with you, there are other factors that he should run tests for, but the HDD is one of the possible factors that has not yet been considered and should definitely be worth checking.
I think he said the he already tried rebooting it and it didn't work but i would recommend his ISP while resetting the gateway, that way if there are any problems and he cant get back to the forum then he will already be on the phone with a support agent that can give him the log-on credentials
