did internet fail to do what it was intended to do originally?

I think originally the internet was supposed to be for military traffic only but as it was so easy to get on to back then it soon became inundated with everyone. As said most things were free back then but quite limited. The money people soon cottoned on to the fact that they could charge for...

Dell trys to boot then just Dell logo

It's not "existing Intel boot agent" it is "EXITING Intel boot agent" which basically means it it cannot find the correct boot files to boot into Windows. My next move would be to make a bootable USB drive using, perhaps, Universal USB installer from here:-...

can I clone samsung ssd to hithicie HDD

I have been pondering for a couple of days now wondering what a hithicie HDD was or is just in case it wouldn't be compatible. Anyway finally decided to google it and it would seem that it is an HITACHI hard drive. Anyway again there should be any problems but I have had general problems with...

can I clone samsung ssd to hithicie HDD

You can certainly clone an SSD to a HDD and vice versa, I do it all the time for various reasons. I tend to use Aomei Backupper though which works for me.

Multiple Seagate External Drives Not Working(Windows+Mac)

I'm afraid that clicking noises coming from mechanical hard drives usually means the read heads are stuck. The clicking noise you can hear is the heads trying move. Various, so called, cures most of which involve shocking the drive into submission are about on youtube but I wouldn't recomend...

Okay fine but rather than answering my post, which was only a suggestion and exactly what I would do, suggest an action that the OP could carry out to get out of the mess her husband is in.

people who switch computers alot what is your tricks to save time?

Not very helpful tehnokraat. Anyway no don't do it. Take your files from the old pc by copying everything in the "User" folder. Then do a brand new install of the operating system and programs. I know it's a chore but if you do it any other way you are liable to migrate all the junk and...

Suspicious wifi location. Seems inside my place.

I think it's something the idiots that write this coding stuff put in to baffle us. I have it on all my computers and always have for the last couple of years at least. I have tried to get rid of it and it isn't actually on my computer as such. It comes up in the list wi fi networks available...

My PC Won't Boot into Window

Glad it worked for you. It's a very common problem with all computers. When I worked in a computer repair business the very first thing I did when delivering a repaired pc was reseat the ram. I do not know why they come unseated but the sockets are not very large and there is a certain amount of...

My PC Won't Boot into Window

I take it that there is no display at all. First thing to do is to unplug any RAM chips and replug them making sure they are properly seated.

    Keyboard question

You should be able to remove the keys to clean them. When I worked in a school on their computer systems one of our summer holiday jobs when the kids weren't there was to clean all the computer keyboards. We had 147 desktops in the school so it was a big job, anyway the kids used to drop all...

Files missing from drive in external enclosure

I wouldn't think any special permissions are needed unless your wife has encrypted the files in some way such as using Word's folder passwording thing. I do what you have just done all the time, either when I re-install my computers, which I do on a regular basis, or someone elses. I even have a...

Hi there .. Let me thank you

Okay you may well be genuine but that is the point of my reply. You post a link after only one post inviting forum members to click on a link. In this day and age that arouses my suspicion. As I say you may be be genuine but I will not, and I hope others do not as well, click on your link.
