We using the vanilla P4C800 witch isnt officially supported motherboard. All we did was flash the board to an bios which was supported to get it to work.

Me and MasterJason recently got a couple of new toys to play with one of them was a Intel Pentium M (Dothan) 730 533FSB with an Asus CT-479 converter for our Asus P4C800 motherboard which will be the test bed.

Well for gaming i would have to say a Hitachi SATA 2 drive. I've had one for about 2 months now and DAM this thing is fast.
The game loading times are so quick compared to my old SATA drives.
You even have to watch closely to see the windows loading screen the way it goes so fast...
Why do you want to overclock it, it already seems fast to me.
First off i would say no with those current temps you have.
You also stand a chance of blowing your system or damaging it.
So just keep it at stock speeds for now.
I've used this program before and its quite good.
At the moment im using riviatuner for my nvidia card since it has more options than PowerStrip.
Another good program for ATI cards is ATI Tool which is great and easy to use.

You should be able to play Half Life 2 just fine on medium settings.

Yip we achived those scores by overcloking it to the max. We used dry ice to cool the CPU and we waterchilled our graphics cards.:cool:
I understand that its not extreme systems but im sure if they put more into it they can get much better results. Just look I did that on air no need for DI. So im sure that plenty more can also achieve a very good score.

Ok first of all go for teh DFI board with PCI-E, this is a more futureproof way to go. Get an 6800GT or Ultra so latter on when you need more performance you can pop another one in.
As for the Dual core processors its just a waste of money, so just get an FX55 or a San Diago or Venice.
Seems like ATI is going to win, the 7800GTX scored round about 7800 hence the name 7800GTX, there was an article stating that the R520 scored over 10K in 3dmark 05, so it seems ATI are in the lead but are having problems with there card now.
