    moving programs

Well, I recently found out that Windows 10 seems to run programs installed on a secondary drive without having to reinstall it so you could try to run it regardless and see if it launches. Nifty little feature. That being said, that's the risk you run when you use software that hasn't been...

    Looking for a VPN?

I've been using VPNSecure for a little over a year. Works great, simple interface, policy that no records are kept, etc. Got it from GDGT Deals for $25 for a lifetime subscription. I figure even if I get a few years out of it, it was well worth it. So far, it's been great. They have a lot of...

    Internet plan advice

That's always going to be the problem. Price keeps folks where they are, not technology. I'll keep my 200 down speeds for $55/month and no data limits, thank you.

stop pages from jmping dring loading

ABP can be bought off to "whitelist" ads. uBlock Origin doesn't allow that. It blocks them all. Highly recommended. I've been using them forever. It even blocks YouTube video ads, I think. I have YT Red, so I'm not sure anymore, but it did at one point.

Opening A Neighborhood Computer Repair shop?

The problem with that is, you can't charge lower and make money. I worked there for just over 10 years. They offer something called Total Tech Support which covers a massive amount of services. Virus removal in home? $50. Mount a television in your house? $50. Anything done in store is covered...

    moving programs

Well, the screen of your desktop is just an graphical user interface. You should still be able to locate your old desktop contents by visiting: (Old Drive's New Letter):\Users\(Your User Name)\Desktop Your shortcuts will tell you where to find all of your old stuff, but keep in mind that the...

Viewing PDF's on Android (blurry when loading page)

I have no issues with Chrome or any other PDF reader. It's less about the reader and usually more about the connection. Chrome tends to look blurry (even on photos) until ALL of the data loads in correctly and then it clears up. If the connection to the data is slow, that could very well be your...

Sorry, X. It's been hella busy at work and I haven't had a moment to jump on here in a few days. Did you get this all sorted out?

    Strengthening the Internet

You can't strengthen it. Your ISP has to support higher speeds and authorize your modem to run at those speeds. You would have to contact your ISP.

    What phone do you have?

I have the Motorola Moto G5 Plus. It's been a great phone and the camera is pretty solid for a phone that costs less than $200. All of that being said, the next phone on my list is going to be the LG G7 ThinQ. I'll probably snag one within the next couple of months.

Some trouble with Bluetooth on Windows (64-bit)

So, it's trying to download the driver for the bluetooth dongle? Or for the device you're connecting wirelessly? To be quite honest, Windows 10 is far, far better at finding drivers than Win7 ever was. Not to mention the end of life for Windows 7 is January of 2020. I know it's still a little...

Yes and yes. Your computer will set the solid state as your "C" drive automatically and you will boot to that drive. Once you have booted to that drive, you can power down and reconnect the second drive. From there, you can delete any Windows directories to free up space on the old mechanical...

    Newbie to home security

Well, the point of home security is to alert the authorities or you. This typically requires an Internet connection. Unless you're in a very rural area, you are most likely spending a lot more for that MiFi than you need to, primarily because of the data limits. Speeds can be good, if you're in...

    Need help

Optane RAM is, essentially, a portion of the solid state hard drive that stores your most commonly used programs like RAM does so that it can launch it faster when you need it. I haven't used it personally, but I really don't see much of a need for something like this unless the computer is a...
