    Help me choose-2 Samsung monitors

I would choose the T240HD. It has HDMI, swivel adjustment and a better warrenty [apparently?]. From memory the reviews on the T range were also the best of the Samsungs.

    Thermalright Venomous X CPU Heatsink

The thing to look for with fans is high CFM, but with low rpm and low dbA. What most people don't realise is that you cant just rely on a low dbA for low noise. High speed fans will sound louder at the same dbA compared to slower ones, because humans are more sensitive to higher pitch noises...

    HELP! Thanks In Advance

Welcome to TF mate, First things first, you said it updated drivers itself?? Thats not the way you should be doing it. The best way is to: 1. Actually download the latest drivers from each manufactures website [motherboard drivers included]. 2. Then remove the drivers via 'Programs and...

    No monitor signal with 5870

I would usual say 'it could be that your PSU is underpowered', but with a PC P&C 610w that just can't be the problem... I know you have already tryed it, but sometimes re-seating it really firmly can work wonders. I've had some very strange problems in the past, from no signal to only using...

Difference between ATI and Nvidia Graphics.

They are a type of processor used in GPUs for alot of parallel processing, much more simple than the cores in a CPU. But you can't compare Nvidia to ATI cards in this way because they use two different stream processor types. The only way to measure which is best is through real world benchmarks.

Going back to PC gaming and 3D Work, building a new PC help for Bday

Yeh maybe thing of 9GB which will still give you tripple channel. To be honest though, I do alot of 3D modelling and the amount of ram doesnt have a huge impact. Its more to do with CPU power for rendering, and graphics power for working withing the viewport. I use more ram for things like...

    Price matching and finance rant.

Lol, finance for an ipod touch. My mate's room mate bought a $2000 TV a couple of years ago, he got it financed. It just seems stupid getting finance for things you just want. And banks are an even worse evil for letting it happen. As for price matching - if they give you a tone 'you...

    Help build computer BOX (Intel)

Thei7-920 has 4 cores and 8 threads [it has hyperthreading so each core can perform to threads at a time further improving mulitasking performance]. 9GB of ram is overkill really.
