    Windows 11

The TPM 2.0 requirement and the elimination of all processors made before 2017 is a huge dealbreaker. Now many will just stick to win 10, buy a mac or hop on the linux train, choo choo. This is a nightmare for the used/refurbished/self built market and I hope it costs Microsoft dearly for their...

Do external GPUs for laptops work effectively?

Yes you need thunderbolt 3, not like it matters anyhow as external GPU's have severe drawbacks

Upgrading RAM on my HP Probook 6570b, yay or nay?

At the end of last summer I picked up a used HP Probook 6570b off of craigslist that I can safely say I am already quite happy with for my on the go needs. It originally came with 4 Gigs of ram that i was able top take up to 6 thanks to having a spare DDR3L stick I had from another HP...

stupid question but how can i make win10 autologin?

Personally I say dont use autologin. I mean you lock the door to your house right? You lock your car too right? I mean yes locks can be broken and sadly things happen but a password is still a good method to keep your system safe. A password only takes a few seconds to type and is not a big deal.

A inquiry about the GTX 1070 and 1070Ti for 1440p

Okay now that makes sense. I mean i have seen some GTX 1070's on sale too and even if its not as good if the GTX 1070ti sells out at least I have at least something to fall back on. It may not be too much better but certainly better at 1440p (depending on the game) Even the 1070 will de as...

A inquiry about the GTX 1070 and 1070Ti for 1440p

I mean I understand that the 1070Ti wont be that big of a leap but overclocked I know it can be just as good as a 1080. I mean it sure beats some of the crazy prices this year with GPU's with even the 1050Ti going up to $250 during the cryptomining craze. Heck even the GTX1060 went up to...

A inquiry about the GTX 1070 and 1070Ti for 1440p

Well that is the main reason I want the 1070Ti as its not too far off from the GTX 1080, I am just asking if the GTX 1070 goes on sale and is my only other option is it a good fallback? I like to have a fallback if this doesnt work out. Anything that is better than my GTX1060 is welcome but it...

A inquiry about the GTX 1070 and 1070Ti for 1440p

Yeah but i dont have another graphics card and my processor does not have a APU (its a Ryzen 7 1700) And again I dont trust Ebay, even if I found a cheap 1080 or 1080Ti on ebay i would not buy it. Yes I have seen a 1080 and a 1080Ti on ebay for around the same price but I dont want to go there...

A inquiry about the GTX 1070 and 1070Ti for 1440p

So this Friday is black Friday, and I know there are going to be sales on some GPU's such as the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW Ultra silent Gaming model which will dip to $350 or so (a steal at that price) However this being black Friday I am worried about it being sold out so I need a...

New monitor in the pipeline, some opinions wanted

Well to be fair i think i won the TN lottery with mine as well. I love the picture on my LG, its actually very close to IPS from what i have seen. Sure it has some of the TN weaknesses like viewing angles but even that its actually very good on. I have to be on the floor or standing up to see...

New monitor in the pipeline, some opinions wanted

well good to hear,I just want to make sure what i get i dont overspend on. I mean I know buying a cheaper panel will ensure i wont go over budget but at the same time I know i want something good.\I mean that asus looks doable, I may go for it.

New monitor in the pipeline, some opinions wanted

True but perhaps the 1440p version is better, who knows. But if you say that rtings is the place to go for monitor ratings them perhaps best to ignore them. They probably give 10 point ratings to monitors that are over $1000 and anything in the 300 to 500 range average or poor as they would be...

New monitor in the pipeline, some opinions wanted

Well adaptive sync doesn't bother me, going for a freesync monitor may be better but i still have a nvidia card so it would not work now. And I may not go for gsync. As for the MSI being a VA panel from what i have read it seems to be very good. Out of all of them I think I will go for the MSI...

New monitor in the pipeline, some opinions wanted

Yeah the samsung is just a tad out of my range, that $500 cap is there for a reason. I mean could i afford it? technically yes. But I have to ensure that i can afford it, the numbers are right but only after i get everything else under check. After all i still need food on my plate, my rent is...
