Make sure you pick one out that has a headphone amp. From what i hear that is an extremely important part if your not using speakers. Something you might want to consider is what you plan on using the soundcard for. I am ordering a soundcard this week as well, and i am 99% sure i am going with...
Oh it works fairly decent if you set it up right. I am convinced that any case can house this thing properly with minimal modifications.

There is a thread i started a few days ago when i first started twiddling with my h50. There...
Had to angle on purpose. Want to try to get as much air out as i can as soon as possible. Got two 200mm top mounted exhaust fans taking care of that. Also wanted to steer that warm air current away from my gpu. Once the side panels and frot bezel are on you can not see the rad anyways.
I would just get the corsair h50. It is water, but a completely closed loop. It is lighter than most air coolers , and really really easy to work with. It has a back retention plate and sits on as solid as you could want. Beauty of the h50 is you get to do the cooling where it is best for you...
Project done. I am happy with the results. CPU now idles in the 20's and stays in the high 40s durring gaming. Super pumped. Kaze fans are so loud, going to buy one more for my read exhaust and a fan controller though. Also going to try installing this make-shift duct i crafted, but to be...
I would stay clear of Alienware and Dell as well as eBay. My mom ordered a Dell a few years ago, worse computer i have ever seen in my life. It had 1 intake fan, that also happened to be the CPU heatsink. It had an 8800gtx, but only a 325w PSU.
Even if i lost both my thumbs in a horrible...
Okay well zip ties did not work out for me. The corsair rad's screw holes were a bit small and hard to loop through. New plan; go to the hardware store, buy 4 L brackets and the proper size screws to get these Kaze fans on the rad nice and secure.
What i did manage to do was to move my rad/fan...
Nice to get conformation on the zipties. I am going to set it as an exhaust at the top of the case. Working on a duct right now to get cool air from the 5.25" bays. Just modding the gpu duct that came with the Haf x, should work good. This is going to help me huge with the basic airflow of the...
I just picked up a small syringe of Arctic Silver MX-3 and it is pretty good, just used for my motherboard heatsink so far. The guy working at the store (who is a builder and modder) told me that the thermal tape that corsair uses is the best solution for the h50. Don't know how true that is, or...
Only thing i can think of now is if the change from cool to hot over and over will cause slack in the ziptie. If it does though i guess i will hear it rattle. Going to do it later tonight when i have some extra time. To be on the safe side i strapped a zip tie to this pot handle and put the pan...
Just upgraded from a eVGA GTX 260 core 216, awesome card. Try running the game with all the graphic settings low. See if your frame rate still hovers around 70. If it does, your CPU is bottlenecking you. Source engine games are really more reliant on the processor. Also if your using 16xAA drop...
You could put a big hole at the top of your case between your optical drive and your PSU. Run all the wires you have from your PSU out of it. Then drill a few holes where you need to bring cables back in the mix. That way all your wiring is hidden between your motherboard bracket and outer case...
It is not nearly as bad as it looks..... If that makes sense lol.
No air is really going up by your 5.25" bays anyways, so that web is not really in the way, but why not just stuff it in a 5.25" unused bay to make it look nicer? Do like Yami said and drop your optical drive down 1 slot and you...
